Not sure if this is the right section, but since I'll be showing mostly the art, it felt suitable. Anyway me and a friend who knows how to code have teamed up to make a small 2D game and I'd like to share with you guys our progress. It's basically just Space Invaders. We mainly just wanted to work on a small project and if this comes out well, we will move on to bigger ones. I made all of the art, except the particle effects. My friend is coding it in C++ and some lua scripts. If you want to know more about the coding side of the game, ask away and I'll forward the questions to him. As of right now it's called Farmageddon, but we want to change it to something else since we want to make more levels, other than just a farm/cornfield. If you have a suggestion for the title, definitely post it! "farmageddon" is an awesome name. what other settings did you have in mind though?
We haven't really decided yet, but we were thinking of having the aliens want to take cows because they survive on milk similar to how we need water lol. So maybe something that has to do with cows or milk.
It would be neat if they beam up the cow slowly so you had time to shoot and rescue it. Although it might be hard to do when only being able to shoot up..
Those corn fields would be way cooler if you added a tiny little bit of parallax scrolling to them.
Impact particles need to be way less sharp. Sharp and high contrasted shapes attract attention, so they should be used for important visual cues.
i like the bleeding alot but yeah some of the art seems to be really point and sharp edged id see what you can do about that

The only problem is that the screen is stationary. We'll see what we can do though. We'll also try some stuff to make certain objects less sharp like you guys said. We probably won't update it though for a few days. We've got other obligations at the moment.
