If you enjoy it, why does it matter if it's a game? It's an interactive piece of media, which IMO is enough to get on steam, and whether or not it deserves to BE on Steam is the only reason I can think of this debate in the first place. If it weren't, you'd look like even more of an idiot for arguing about it. It's a thing, it's a cool thing, I don't know why 'game' or 'anti-game' are even necessary labels at this point.
It's sort of like that still-raging debate about whether The Walking Dead is a game, or whether choice really matters. Who gives a shit? It's a good story, it's a good experience, it didn't cost $60 and try to throw in a multiplayer component in an attempt to validate it being a 'real game'. What more do people want?
Any piece of interactive media can be called a game in my book. The important definitions arise later down in the category tree, such as whether the game challenges something in the player or not.
