Demoman can no longer detonate sticky bombs while taunting
Now why in the FUCK would they do that? I loved doing that as a stickyjumper demoknight.

Well it was pretty annoying that demos could kill you from around a corner that way.

They've been changing a lot of stuff that's been in since release, lately.
Demoman can no longer detonate sticky bombs while taunting
WHAT THE FUCK
Wasn't this an intentional feature as a result of Meet the Demoman?
rest in peace sweet prince

That is only really an issue with the permanent taunts, like the high-five. There's no reason why this should apply to the other ones that aren't permanent and aren't able to be cancelled.
Not being able to synchronize primary taunt with explosions anymore is kinda saddening.

This. Nothing will ever beat going, "ka-BEEEEWWWWMM" as your stickies frag a guy who probably slapped himself on the forehead after he died
Well, goodbye demoman. It was fun.

The competitive scene bitched about it one too many times.

I always do it to myself when my team wins a match
Make the demoman thing a cvar.
Competitive servers are happy, everyone else who isn't a fucking turd is happy.
I don't play a lot of Demoman, but what does it matter if you can detonate while taunting or not?
If anything, it's a bad thing to do. You cannot cannot react before the taunt is over, in case someone comes at you.

If that was the reason, then they should have fixed the issue where if you end a round in a held taunt (and sometimes even if you don't but have it equipped!) then all of your animations become replaced with whatever the held taunt's hold animation is for the entirety of the next round and hides their currently active weapon. That easily negatively affects gameplay for anyone that has to go up against it more than any other bug in the game right now. (Especially since this actually affects the visual appearance of Pyro's flame particles, as they won't sync up with the actual hitboxes if the pose the Pyro is stuck in is the high-five pose and will instead fire upwards. The engineer getting stuck in the rancho relaxo taunt also has rather interesting properties on visual collision detection)
They were forced to ban all holdable taunts in competitive TF2 leagues because of how devastating it can be.
I always wondered how those demomen killed me without ever being able to see me and yet with such precision and timing. I don't personally have an issue with this change, it was a pretty cheap thing to do.
