This game is so bad, I regret buying it.
The camera is weird as hell, when you look at the ground it's like rotating around a axis, not on a axis.
Hm. This was in early access for awhile wasn't it. any one played it or know how it turned out?
So what is it like? War z meets septic shit tank?

Its a very meh game.
Think of it as WarZ if it had 10% more effort.
At least it had some interesting ideas.
Why do early access games on steam that barely get updated just push for release?
I played this game several months ago and had a bit of fun. Wouldn't pay for it though.

is that rhetorical?
Nether gets updated quite regularly and with a lot of content per update as opposed to just bug fixes, so I don't know what you're on about.

I really hate dayz because it's literally just you jogging everywhere forever and a giant PvP deathmatch simulator, Nether appealed to me because it's got way more of a PvE aspect and more depth to it rather than just the sole quest to acquire better guns.
There's all sorts of crafting, quests, missions, random events that can happen, different tribes (factions) that can fight for control of key buildings in the city that give bonuses to that tribe or regularly spawn decent shit in the area, a large variety of unique and pretty badass enemy nethers that aren't just shambling enemies and they're damned fun to fight.
It's definitely worth it i'd say, especially if you're looking for something that's got shit tons more content and gameplay mechanics than generic zombie jogging shooter game.
don't you like have to level up your character and loose all progress when you die, or did they change that (as I heard about that a long time ago)

levelling up is pretty damn fast from what i hear to compensate for it
There's two sides to that, there's character progression and account progression. The character progression is lost on death but gradually you gain permanent stat increases and perks for your entire account as you level. It'd a pretty neat way of handling it as it was extremely frustrating losing all of that progress after like 10 or so hours with a single character and actually you feel like you're at least making some progress after losing several characters.
My only major problem with this is that it's literally filled to the brim with hackers most of the time, any of the nearly full servers have got a few each and they're just causing shit tons of chaos and it being in alpha or beta or whatever doesn't have a fully fledged anti-cheat system yet but apparently does notify server admins if someone is doing anything suspicious. Over time I'm hoping this'll obviously be fixed.
3rd party DRM
muddy textures everywhere despite highest settings
Didn't have my old screen's resolution, which is a commonly used one (1680x1050)
clunky as fuck
pls no buy
I'm also going to mention cheats are still somewhat common, even though vac was recently implemented, they can't even make a proper fully authoritive server, you can speed hack in multiplayer with fucking cheat engine. If you make your name special characters it will show up as blocks and nobody can report you or anything. The safe zone camping is immense as fuck, not to mention the gun play is absolutely shit. WarZ atleast had decent gun play compared to this.

If anything that is why i bought nether in the first place.
It wasn't a jogging simulator, i was actively working towards a goal.
It was relatively cheap at the time too.
Yeah It's got so much more potential than other game in the genre, I think all they need is decent anti-cheat, a bit more weapon/player customisation and I imagine they'll be gradually unlocking more and more areas of the map then it'll be sorted.

So only 10% effort then? :v:

they still haven't unlocked more sections of the map?
lol
It's a nice game, but it's so boring without friends. I played it quite a bit and it went a long way, but it needs more, maybe an even bigger map.
Remember how they were gonna make a SP custom superhero game, then when that Kickstarter failed they made this instead? Good times.
Bad game. Do not buy.

Arguably but sadly admitably so.

That kickstarter failed? Awww.
