The Rhode Island legislature passed medical marijuana legislation earlier this year. [I]Correction: This post originally said that the bills would be introduced tomorrow. I give it a decade before most states legalize recreational pot.
I hope it legalizes in Kentucky.
I give it a decade before most states legalize recreational pot.
Honestly I don't know if it will even take that long, it's been a week since Colorado and Washington legalized it and now at least 2 other states are already talking about it, we might be seeing a sort of domino effect.
Oh so now Secone's state is legalizing?
There's an underground mining state?
Fucking Florida going to be one of the last states to follow suit.
Great title typo, hopefully they just fucking let it go already, Nixon was an idiot so why are we still following one of his stupid ideas still?
Woops, I am an idiot who cannot proofread titles of threads pay me no mind
blaze it maine
This is gonna be a great 4 years if it keeps getting legalized in other states.
This will probably pass in Maine. Pretty much everyone here smokes, and the ones that don't give no fucks if you do.
Well that would make pretty much all of New England I expect the average IQ to be heading south soon
I expect the average IQ to be heading south soon
and the crime
When is Canada getting pot :(
lets keep pot illegal in va
I expect the average IQ to be heading south soon
Moderate marijuana use does not correlate with IQ loss in adult users.
A 2002 longitudinal study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal concluded that "marijuana does not have a long-term negative impact on global intelligence," and that "current marijuana use had a negative effect on global IQ score only in subjects who smoked 5 or more joints per week." The study, which monitored subjects since birth, examined IQ scores before, during and after cessation of regular marijuana use. It found current light users and former users showed average IQ gains of 5.8 and 3.5 respectively, compared to an IQ gain of 2.6 for those who had never used cannabis. The study did however show an average IQ decrease of 4.1 for heavy users.
Blaze it up buds
Well that would make pretty much all of New England I expect the average IQ to be heading south soon
Pot use would be set at 21, just like alcohol. Once a person has reached the age of 21, their brain is done developing so it would basically do the same damage as alcohol. And if the legal age is set at 21, it would still be illegal for kids....so I don't really see a difference.
I love weed but you kinda need a) a cited source and b) multiple sources when it comes to things like that
I posted an excerpt from a study which contradicts what he inadvertently claimed. What do you want from me? Shouldn't you be asking for a source from him that provides a basis for his expectation of lower IQs? [editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
Once a person has reached the age of 21, their brain is done developing
Not true. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] The age of 21 seems more arbitrary than anything, though. If I recall correctly it has to do with a certain part of the brain which controls decision making. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] lol nevermind, I don't think there is any reason whatsoever other than some social view of 21 year olds being "responsible adults"

I hope the 420 spreads to texas
NORML must be so happy, they've been at this for years and its finally coming true
Why does Colorado get named first for this?

Ripple effect, anyone?
Why does Colorado get named first for this?
Because their results were announced first.
Hopefully this spreads to England, since most of our politicians have been too fucking scared to even have a discussion about it up to this point.
Hypothetically how much tax revenue could be expected if all 50 states legalized recreational use and had state run distributors?
Hopefully this spreads to England, since most of our politicians have been too fucking scared to even have a discussion about it up to this point.
How accessible is pot in the United Kingdom, is it anything like America? Wow I didn't realize how major the legalization of marijuana in Washington and Colorado is internationally. For some reason I thought their would be more countries with it legalized.
