Chicago police officer Christopher Elliott is being hailed as a hero after he revived a choking toddler around Wednesday night.
NBC Chicago reports that Elliott had been writing a traffic crash report near the intersection of Diversey and Western in the city's Logan Square neighborhood when a man ran up to his car, tapped on the glass and asked for the officer to come to the 15-month-old boy's aid. The child's parents did not speak very much English but Elliott went immediately into action to save him.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Elliott proceeded to administer CPR by doing chest compressions on the child and turned the boy over in order to clear out food that had been blocking his airway. The boy then began to breath on his own before an ambulance arrived on the scene and took him to the hospital, where he was checked out before being released Thursday morning.
"I've choked before. I know what that feels like. It feels like you can't breathe, you can't move, you're like stuck," Elliott told WLS. "The baby looked stuck, and the ma says 'not breathing.'"
I think the point is that w00tf1zh has been spamming the SH with anti-police articles.

God damn can we stop this nonsense for a second and think this through. If police do something wrong and it's in the news is it automatically anti police? even if we get a guy who posts a lot of it, does it matter? Is your personal opinion of what, if any, changes should be made to how police work in the US going to be radically shifted by one too many story in either direction?
And if we get articles about a police officer doing something good is it "pro police"? Like, what the fuck, neither of these situations are pro or anti police, they're just coexisting news stories. Maybe if your assumption is that everything on SH is intended to paint a particular group in a positive or negative light, are they pro or anti. I've been reading a lot of posts here and there's too much polarization, people posting that "oh all police are fine how dare you imply that there are problems with police being brought to justice and general police behavior in the states" And then you get the occasional "fuck the police, burn them all down, anarchy anarchy" posters. And the worst part of it is, that each assume that the opposite is always the mentality of a poster if their opinion isn't to either extreme. Calm down for a second it's not SH is going to impact national politics in some way you don't need to rabidly defend your POV to the death of the thread.
