I played this in the very early beta and it wasn't that fun; I hope this changes things a lot because the later updates didn't appeal to me very much either :v:
I got in back when the game started open beta, and played for about two months. The whole 'item durability' thing sorta ruined it for me. They eventually reworked a lot of that stuff, so I hung around for another month or two. I check back up on it now and again, and the game's still very grindy. There's not much to do as it is right now; just level up your frame running missions, go mine for resources, buy a new frame, and do it again. They have a campaign system in place, but it takes about 50 to 90 minutes to completely finish the entire thing. Whether or not "15 times" means we'll actually have stuff to do on the official launch, I'm just hoping the grind is more interesting than running the trans-hub ARES circuit nonstop. [editline]faf[/editline] I'll add that the world's dynamic as heck though. Firefall does a lot of things right in making everything seem more active, even with how it handles instanced servers/low player count per instance. It's pretty nice to watch from the sidelines, if that makes sense.
