Hello, Mr. Facepunch. You're 17, right? Oh, um, sorry, 18. Or 13? No, 20. 24? Hey, good news: it doesn't matter. It never had and never will. I heard your IQ is like 140 too. Or maybe 80. Maybe I heard 100. I'm a bit hard of hearing. How are you doing at school right now? A's? D's? How's your job? Do you have one? Oh, but wait: that doesn't matter either. Not the least bit. What do you do for fun? Draw, code, write, play an instrument? How good are you at it? I bet you're pretty good. Maybe not though. How's your social life? Got many friends? Any romantic interests? :D Whatever the case, it's okay. Lets say you are some dumb secluded guy with no particular talents who fails at almost everything they try. I will now say three magical words to turn all of that around. Are you ready? Fuck the shit. You are no longer that guy. "Oh great, it's another one of these guys who thinks they have life all figured out and is going to give me some stupid advice about it that I'm pretty sure will get me nowhere." Nope. See, I haven't told you to do anything yet. You just did this all by yourself. How does it feel? I bet you feel pretty good. But lets not sink back into that hole you just climbed out of. You're on the edge of it right now, holding yourself up by your toes. Step forward a bit. Good. Here is what you should do: 1. Take 1 risk every day. Do something you've never done before every single day. It doesn't have to be big, it just has to be something. 2. Prioritize things that you need to do over things that you want to do. In the end, this is a lot less stressful. Don't go crazy with it though. Leave yourself at least like...2 hours, let's say, of free time every day to do whatever you want. 3. Every time you find yourself focusing on what's bad about you, remember what's good about you. You're a lot more than you think. If the others' judgement seems to define what you think about yourself, you are not doing this. If you constantly find yourself comparing yourself to others, you are not doing this. Remember what's good about you. Do this. Give this stuff a legitimate try. Here is where you walk a thin line, and make a big choice. By "choice" I don't mean "the choice to succeed." That's bullshit, if you put it that way. I'm talking about the choice to try those 3 things listed above. 99% of the time, they will help you a ridiculous amount. You won't even believe it. Enjoy.
I am a changed man.
Very much.
No. I'm going to be a loser and stay on Facepunch all day :colbert:
Oh wow, that was motivational. I'm serious. But the part where I take one risk per day, I'm gonna change it to one risk after 2 days so it's more balanced.
Hearts all round!
I'm glad you registered just to do this.
Isn't being happy and successful called being rich?
Isn't being happy and successful called being rich?
Unless rape makes you happy, and not getting caught means you are successful.
What is the definition of "success"
I already am. :3:
Step 4 Leave Facepunch
What is the definition of "success"
You'll know it when you see it.
You'll know it when you see it.
In my opinion, being happy means that you're already successful.
Of course not, what a silly assumption :colbert:
I know right? Who that is sane would want to be happy and successful? We want to be miserable and poor.

I am 16 My IQ is 112 I do note care much about my future
Expecting a shitty derp thread Was happily disappointed
Guys I need a guide on how to do step 1 I don't get it.
Heh, I sent this to my mom:
Do you have any idea what I'm even doing regarding my future? http://www.digital-rapids.com/ I'm working with them soon. They are sending me to Ontario, CA/Hampshire UK to train me. I don't know why you INSIST on chewing me out before you even hear me out first. Do you have the slightest sliver of an idea about how much I'm working towards a financially secure future? I must be doing something right if I grabbed the attention of Digital Rapid's CEO if he's willing to get me past all the HR and Document and experience, degree, pretty CV bullshit right? Here are the companies I will be working with: -Airtel -Sahara TV -IBM DMX I don't see any other 17 year old being sent cross globe to train and work with these multi billion dollar companies. Considering if I play my hands right here I can land myself a 150k+ a year job. But somehow I'll still be at fault here, looking forward to being chewed out by you again.
I still haven't gotten a response saying how pathetic I am.
No, I want to live in a van down BY THE RIVER.
I am happy and successful, thanks for asking.
I'm sure those things would be nice but I'm still not nearly motivated enough to do any of them. Try again, sir. You cannot break my apathy.
