Hyundai's Sonata YF is a car type, speeding on the road at a breakneck speed suddenly start moving and you are stopping, accelerating up to 130 kilometers in 15 seconds. The voice of the video driver was surprised to suddenly start moving car has been recording, voice "rabbitfish (boy),? I've been what happened to" such as can be confirmed. To involve people by the operation of the driver handle, which did not cross the pedestrian crossing, the driver rammed a broken rib on impact into another car, the passenger was Mr. B of damage to the lumbar spine. Currently, car accident analysis has been carried out in the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. Hyundai Motor is about this accident, "I do not know it that the sudden acceleration and no I estimate at the moment. the outcome of the investigation exact" we discussed that, and do not examine a car accident a direct cause and do not know . On the other hand, said, "I had not come to the scene of the accident to contact Hyundai, was also trying to avoid discussion of the next day" family of the driver had an accident, and was strongly condemned the support of Hyundai. Don't ask, if you can find a better one, please do so. Also, fucking amazing how he went through it.
Must've installed one of those toyota gas pedals by accident
Fucking idiots driving the car should have died, risking other people's lives that recklessly. (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the article." - Swebonny))

What the fuck is that bellowing sound they're making at the end of the video?
Fucking idiots driving the car should have died, risking other people's lives that recklessly.
Where's that bad reading rating? The article states that they're investigating a vehicle malfunction that caused it to accelerate uncontrollably.
Just wondering, if this was a vehicle malfunction, why were they filming it?
Just wondering, if this was a vehicle malfunction, why were they filming it?
Lots of people put cameras in there car. Especially in that part of the world.
Fucking idiots driving the car should have died, risking other people's lives that recklessly.
Seriously? It was a paragraph. A poorly written one, but still. You can at least hear the panic in his voice as it accelerates.
Throw it in neutral and press the damn brakes... Who cares if your engine blows. Then again, I can't imagine having that happen to me, I wouldn't probably think of it either.
jetblack, certified computer chair executioner, wishing death on people based on little information where ever he may roam.
Must've installed one of those toyota gas pedals by accident
God Damn FLOOR MATS!
Fucking idiots driving the car should have died, risking other people's lives that recklessly.
Fucking idiots posting without reading, risking other people's sanity that recklessly.

What the hell happened there? Why did it happen exactly?
This whole thing seems unusual. I guess it's possible if the accelerator is computer controlled and not with a cable like older cars are...
I take it they're automatic gearboxes, else you could just hold the clutch?
This whole thing seems unusual. I guess it's possible if the accelerator is computer controlled and not with a cable like older cars are...
Almost all cars made in the mid 2000's up are Drive-by-wire, cable accelerators are pretty much long gone. [editline]14th May 2012[/editline]
I take it they're automatic gearboxes, else you could just hold the clutch?
It's rare for anyone to own a manual transmission these days, especially in a pseudo-luxury car.
I take it they're automatic gearboxes, else you could just hold the clutch?
Could've just slapped the gear level into Neutral, as well. Also, cars are designed with the brakes stronger than the engine to stop just such an occurance.
What the fuck is that bellowing sound they're making at the end of the video?
umm idunno maybe he was just in a horrific car accident [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] I've seen multiple sources on this, it happened a week ago. Apparently the guy was braking as hard as he could but nothing he could do would slow the car down. [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] Here's a Kotaku (of all places) article on it. http://kotaku.com/5909978/this-nightmare-car-crash-looks-like-a-video-game-but-its-real-and-awful
It's rare for anyone to own a manual transmission these days, especially in a pseudo-luxury car.
No, manual transmission is still standard in most of Europe, for example. You can't take a license in Scandinavia if you can't drive a stick.
They sound way too relaxed for people who just lost control of their car, and why didn't the driver ram into the car in front of them?
They sound way too relaxed for people who just lost control of their car, and why didn't the driver ram into the car in front of them?
Maybe he panicked and thought it wouldn't do that?
They sound way too relaxed for people who just lost control of their car, and why didn't the driver ram into the car in front of them?
Your first instinct shouldn't be "oh I better crash my car". Yes it would have been the best tactic but you have to put yourself in the driver's position.
The end is weird eeugheugheeeeh
holy fuck that would be terrifying
He made it pretty far before hitting that minivan. I would have rather gone and hit the first car rather than try to unstick the accelerator. [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] And why is it so difficult to read such a small article, all these snips are from people who don't know how to read and blindly accused the driver of being a reckless asshole.
Why didn't he just remove the key from the ignition? Or push the button to shut of the engine? or pull the handbrake up? [editline]/[/editline] Can someone give us an english translation?
This looks really weird. It looks like he leaves the lane just far too quickly and fluently, if you consider that what just happened was something he shouldn't see coming at all. Good reflex? Maybe, but then I would expect him to do a smarter choice, than guiding the thing straight forwards through the traffic. It has to be investigated thoroughly before anybody can draw a meaningful conclusion, but it seems just weird to me. One thing that comes to my mind is that the driver might have wanted to fuck with the passanger and wanted to act the runaway out, but didn't handle it in the end. Just a bare speculation, tho, obviously.
