I installed a new motherboard and everything turns on good but then my monitors say no signal. Anyone have any suggestions? It used to be a HP motherboard and I have a hdd from a HP and now my new mobo is a Gigabyte

wow im dumb its gigabyte
Do you have an integrated GPU or a dedicated GPU (and if so, what make/model)?

I have a GTX 460 and I know its plugged into the correct PCIEx16 slot.
Try taking it out and see if your monitor gets a signal with the integrated GPU.

what do u mean
If it does get a signal, try putting the card back in and verify that your monitor doesn't get a signal with the 460. If your monitor keeps getting no signal with it, the 460 could be dead. If this is the case, contact the manufacturer if it's still under a warranty.

Remove it from the PCI-E slot.

Oh fuck, I just realized the mobo doesn't have an onboard GPU. If you can find another computer with a mobo that has an onboard GPU and a PCI-E slot, test it with that.

What CPU? What PSU?
Is CPU power plugged in? GPU power?
Sometimes I've found clearing the "CMOS" with the graphics card installed works things out (Page 29 of the manual)
Verify all power connections, remove anything non essential (HDDs, ODDs, USB peripherals) try the above and see what happens.
Still doesn't work? Take it down to a single stick of RAM if possible.
Still doesn't work? Remove the graphics card, fire it up and listen for a POST beep (Make sure you have a buzzer plugged in if there isn't one built onto the board)
Check if the GPU power cable are fully plugged in
Did you use stand-offs
Or assuming it's a proprietary case, are there one or more misaligned fixed standoffs shorting out the board?

Yes it has standoffs. I checked and theirs nothing touching it. I made sure all my cables were plugged in good. I have a Harddrive from a HP elite and the gigabyte motherboard that I posted up there. cosair 600 watt power supply. GTX 460 gpu. AMD II6 processor also from the HP elite.
