I don't really care anymore about the history even though I really liked it in the previous games. They moved on to far more boring settings with Revelations and 3.
The Crusades and italian Renaissance are far more interesting.
While Black Flag gets a pass because it's a game about pirates, the problem with 3 was that it was shifting into a much more boring time period. I feel like in AC5 we're going to end up in England or something and that'll be a damn shame.
Every game not set in Egypt or Asia is a lost opportunity.

I'd pay good money to see an Assassins creed game set in feudal Japan or China
give me more middle east crusades please

This.
The 11th Century and the time of the Crusades is a fascinating period and looking over the source material there is enough back story to fill up several games.
I can't be the only one who thinks Revolutionary France would be the perfect AC setting.
Why not take place in the Stone age in 10,000 BC where you play as a caveman assassin? Why no one ever make a game int he stone age?

It's practically where modern Parkorur was born. It'd probably be a great setting.
