it's connected to the motherboard and has a proper 4pin connected to it. what is wrong? i really wanna reinstall warcraft 3 :( [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] it's recognized by windows (by checking "my computer"), but it's simply not getting any power to it. the power LED won't light up and pressing the eject button won't eject it (right-click, eject in My Computer simply gives "Error Ejecting CD Drive: D") could this possibly be a master/slave mix up or something of that nature? i've only scratched the surface of that topic and if someone could elaborate on it, that'd be swell.
Well it sound like the drive is just old and or broken. I had similar problems recently went through 3 different CDdrives because either A.) the CD wouldn't be read. B.) Same problem that you are stating \ or C.) the drive would work on and off. So i basically got rid of those three from like 2001-2008 and bought a new one for 30$ and it works fine, that's the best i can think of, sorry.
FYI you can enter your Warcraft 3 keys into your Battle.Net account and download the games, if you wanted a work around.
FYI you can enter your Warcraft 3 keys into your Battle.Net account and download the games, if you wanted a work around.
if i use my key on battle.net, will i still be able to use the warcraft 3 account that i've always used? I've never created an account on battle.net, just through warcraft 3, and it doesn't seem that my accounts are usable on battle.net
