My parents divorced when I was 5 and my older sister would have been about 8. They were very mature about it. My dad left and would see us during school holidays and we lived with our mum. My dad paid us a bit of money each month, they decided on a value he could afford instead of going to that child support thing and he paid it until we reached 18. There was never any court stuff or arguments and if there was arguing they kept it hidden from us.
Not all divorces have to be tragic. I am really sorry to hear about your experiences though and the story in the OP. Parents acting petty over a divorce like that and using their innocent kids as payback etc. is sickening. :ohdear:

That's like what my Mum and dad does. Also he is divorced. :(
We see him when he has day's off.
We go to his place (he lives in another town) And stay over for a couple of days.
And sometimes he might come down for Christmas. Or me and my brothers see him at Christmas at his place.
