Hey DD, today my doctor prescribed me Cipralex an SSRI which contains "Escitalopram oxalate" as the only medicinal ingredient. Erowid had no specific vault for Cipralex/Escitalopram and so I only read all the SSRI related articles. I know that SSRI's will significantly reduce the effects of MDMA but what if I stop using my SSRI a couple days prior to my MDMA experience? Also will my SSRI affect me smoking weed or the use of any Psychedelics? And does anybody else have experience with Cipralex? Thanks in advance guys.
its a 50/50 dude some people get panic attacks from smoking while taking SSRI so i suggest taking it slow [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] not saying you cant do it
Don't take MDMA or any serotonergic with SSRIs, you could get Serotonin syndrom which you definitely don't want.
don't. SSRIs suck and you will crash when you stop using it. Don't worsen it by fucking with your serotonin even more.
I took Prozac and i felt the highs from bud were much more relaxed and calm. I haven't taken them for over a year and now my highs are sometimes a bit anxious, nothing serious but they weren't as good as they used to be, could be because the weed around here has changed from chilled out homegrown to cheese and other strains of skunk. Never did MDMA but i remember i needed to take more mephedrone than all my mates to feel anything until like 3~ months after i stopped taking SSRIs and my tolerance went back down.

I think I'm going to do MDMA one last time than start on the SSRI and only smoke weed from there on, thanks for the info guys. It'd totally work. wouldn't get junkies being able to get the prescriptions though because they wouldn't pass no psyche test.

psychologists can't make prescriptions
Citalopram has a half life of about 35 hours, so I would give it up two to five days just to be on the safe side because take it from me personally SSRIs are the worse. I've been to hell and back because of them and have had numerous hospital trips because of them. Just be very very super cautious and don't take any chances.
