Me and a guy in my class got a movie project for school that is beginning now, and we need ideas, or just inspiration. We are two people, and got a really, really low budget, so don't come with any ideas of big gigantic action movies with crazy CGI and all that.
If the result is any good, I might upload the video, but only if the guy on my group agrees.
I'm very happy for any ideas, because right now, we got absolutely nothing, except for a satire show about news.
The movie can be about basically anything.
Just so you know.
And I'd prefer something we can shoot inside, because it's fucking freezing outside right now, and the weather is changing rapidly.
Watch the warehouse scenes from Reservoir dogs for inspiration and do something similar, might be cool.
so like this guy connects his neck and goes into a computer which is personified as a lush green tropical forest with furries but the orcs want to burn down the trees to make icebergs for killing a giant ape who escaped from a planet of dinosaurs and has the ability to time travel but doesn't know how to use it for he is an ape and therefore you create a sense of emotion in which the viewer feels sympathetic for the unable-to-time-travel ape but Yoda picks up a building with starving aliens in it and now there is a giant battle scene and a picture of Megan Fox

Although I did like this idea alot, I don't think it's possible to complete it with our technical skills and budget.
pick up a newspaper and flick through it. try to come up with stories based on the photos and at the end pick your favourite ideas. worked for me.

Get a book of classic short stories and see if you can make one into a film.
Or a film trailer movie, making the trailer has to be the most fun part of making a film, just make a trailer making fun of film trailer clichés.
Get black suits with white masks, get a colourful background behind you when you film and then act things out.

Look at your life, look at things that seem weird or that could be subverted, make film about it

Make a cooking show thats funny. Like start by making shit wrong but doing it in a serious manor. Make peanut butter cookies with flour, sugar and peanut butter, it makes fire ^^,
Then when its on fire start a food fight and then randomly have a background drop down, turn to the side and continue your funny news report.

If you post the final video, I guarantee that I will go through it frame by frame and tell you exactly what you did wrong and why your work sucks. If someone PM's me to make sure I see the video when its posted, I promise a 1000+ word criticism.
Take your possible locations for shooting, technical skills, costumes and/or ability to make costumes, money and amount of actors needed into account. Then make a film based on something simple, but maybe with a twist. District 9 (the film) was based on a short film that put a very simple idea in a swimming pool of difference, using the black/white division in South Africa, but instead used aliens. I personally like sci-fi stories, but I am easy to please. Think about what would be most effective. To get a good grade also think about target audiences ect. Teachers love that crap.
