Yesterday in Animation Roundup, we reported that the upcoming animated adaptation of Batman: The Killing Joke might feature Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker. For those who don’t know, Hamill voiced the character in Batman: The Animated Series and in the Batman: Arkham video games.
Shortly after the story, sources reached out to us and confirmed that Hamill has already recorded his voice acting for the film, which is due out direct-to-video next year.
that was a given
I am glad Warner Brothers is letting him do Joker for the Killing Joke adaption. It was his dream performance with Joker after all.
I hope the script is really killer.

Your avatar is quite fitting for the subject matter.
Thank god, Hamill has the perfect Joker voice, especially considering what his role will be like in Killing Joke
Just to let everyone know, back when Arkham City launched, Hamill said he'd be retiring from the role, with the only things he'd come back for being a sequel to City where Joker would have some role [sp]He did, somewhat[/sp], and an Adaptation of The Killing Joke.
This is the last time you'll hear him as The Joker.
Glad he's gonna go out with a bang

you motherfucker
So who will be voicing Batman?
I hope its conroy.
The final Hamill Joker story needs to have Conroy. They're the definitive voices for he characters, its only right.
Especially with that ending.
If Hamill is doing Joker, Conroy is also a given, Conroy said in an interview once that whenever Mark does the Joker, He will always be there as Batman.
This is definately going to be something special!

Has there ever been a case where the reverse was true? Hamill but no Conroy?
From what i understand, there hasnt.

Mark Hamill has said he's done playing the Joker since before Arkham Asylum. As long as the script is good enough he'll keep doing it.

I feel like the reason he came back for Asylum was because of Conroy and Sorkin also returning.

I think there were multiple choices in his reason.
I just had a thought.
One of the ways the ending of The Killing Joke can be interpreted as is [sp]Batman killing the Joker, ending their dance once and for all.[/sp]
I suppose thats official now, in a meta sense.
It'd be a major bummer if Conroy isn't Batman, here. I know a lot of people think he's worn out and they're tired of people asserting he's the definitive Batman, but hell, they were playing off of each other for the entire DCAU. It's really only fitting that Hamill's final Joker performance is with his Batman, you know?
Oh man.
Can not wait for the monologue.

i hope this version leaves it as ambiguous

yeah I think the ambiguous nature of the scene is the real magic of that comic.

Conroy is sounding old from what I've heard in Arkham Knight. Havent played it yet, but watched videos.
