Why is this even a thing, isn't the game only like less than a fifth done from a feature integration standpoint? This is the last thing they should be working on
Feature creep.
I would love it if they would start working on gameplay any day this year
They have a bunch of studios all working on different aspects of the game, it's coming up pretty swimmingly all things considered.
Since they have a bunch of teams working on various things, they need things to do while they wait for other teams to finish.
If they can't continue until team Y is finished, they may as well work on other things. Right?

63% 'Not implemented' features after 5 years of development is not 'swimmingly'. I'm aware game development is not universally a 2 year process, but this is beyond levels of unreasonable for the amount of money that was brought in by consumers where they would be developing a world class facial tracking system when over 60% of the game is not even started. And that isn't a giant list of assets or mocap, 182 of those features are mechanics, the bits that actually make it a *game*.
They advertised a game to investors, not a technology platform. So far 18 mechanics are completed and 10 are in alpha after 5 years of development.
