I put Icy only on my phone when I jailbroke it. I tried to install Cydia and it....

...doesn't work. I click the app and it pretends that it it coming up, but then returns to the home screen. I need Cydia to install AppSync.

I have a 3G iPhone jailbroken with redsn0w.

Re-jailbreak and have it install Cydia. Cydia from Icy will NOT work.

Yeah I installed only Icy when I jailbroke my 3.0 3G and it was all kinds of fucked up. Installed Cydia only, then get Icy from that.

Whats the point of having Icy? Isn't it basically Cydia?

Yeah I don't get this either, I looked up Icy's site and they say it doesn't use Cydia, but it must do because the same thing happened to me when I removed it.
I suppose removing Cydia may uninstall all the handlers and stuff Icy uses though...

If you have a specific reason to use Icy, use it. If not, use Cydia.

It doesn't refresh when you start the app, which can be more convienient, and the interface is simpler/cleaner, and I prefer it. The installation screen is cooler too imo imho tbh :3

I've WAISTED probably like $15 in total over the years. FUCK those shitty $1 apps that don't work. What's even worse, is a $10 app that does shit. I think I'll try the app before I spend anything on it.

Use Cydia not Icy.
Icy is just a good looking Cydia with crashing problems and a whole load more hassle when it comes to it.
