The indie gaming market is a growing force in the industry. And while the nature of the market makes it difficult to get exact sales figures, there is no denying that 2013 was a great year for introducing new and innovative titles to gamers of all stripes and on all platforms.
Over the past few weeks, I've looked at only the tiniest sampling of what was offered this year. So, as 2013 comes to a close and we clear our calendars for the exciting times ahead, I thought I would round up some other indie titles you might have missed.
Jesus, their selection is excellent. I'm pleasantly surprised.
A good list, but surprised Papers, Please isn't there.
Ever think about how much time and talent is wasted writing games that waste even more time? In 1961 I got a job in a computer factory. The first program I wrote tested a betting system I had long thought could win at roulette. I knew how computers worked, but I didn't understand and wasn't interested in accounting or anything else that computers were used for at the time. Today, most young new programmers understand how to play games better than than they, or I, understand what the world really needs.
From the comments selection.
Some people just don't get it, do they.
The writers notes its a small sampling, they do all tech so its not a surprise they didn't focus on games.
