I wish overwatch skins had full line reworks, they really pale in comparison to say Paladin's full skins that change everything ranging from effects, every voices and of course looks.

And let's not forget Paladins lets you buy the skins straight up with real money, and this is a f2p game in comparison to a $40 game.

I love Paladins, I play it all the time, but actually, a lot of the skins require you to pay for a chest roll, which probably has
some shitty emotes and mvp poses thrown in there to milk you for more money.
It's kind of scummy, and maybe OW does the same, but I wouldn't know, I didn't get to play it that much on the free weekend.

Well, not really, you can get some stuff, but most are just as cheap, I just find them to be much, much higher quality when it comes to rare & epic quality skins.
