you get items with "light" and you can go over level 20

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. You don't get much of an rpg feeling because you reach the level cap so fast. After that xp means jack shit and it's a loot based. After playing a few hours, you basically reach the cap.

Unfortunately leveling up by loot is not as rewarding as xp.
