• Question about iPhone battery.

I made a neat paper stand for my iPhone yesterday. I also have a digital clock application, which can alter if the phone should never go to sleep. My question is if I have my iPhone charging, will the battery life be affected if I have said application running all night with no auto-sleep?
Nope.
If you're having your iPhone charging all night and on, there should be no problem.
Although the phone will charge up and then run off the charger power once it's full, I know from personal experience that the phone can just become completely slow and/or unresponsive if it doesn't sleep for eight or so hours. I can't remember if putting it to sleep or restarting it fixed the problem though...
I had it on last night, nonstop. And, to my frustration, the phone had actually gone to sleep. So the alarm never went off and I came 4 hours late to school >:C

Then all you do is set it in your stand and leave the screen on (Don't press the stand-by button). This will prevent it from going to sleep and locking after a period of time. In fact, you can always use the alarm function in the Clock Application and it doesn't require the screen to be on. But of course this is up to your personal preferences.
I know that. Thing is, the app itself had a setting for that. Said setting lasted maybe 1 hour when I tried it yesterday. Seems to work now though. Poked around in settings of the app and now the clock was on all night :3
I thought the iPhone has a alarm clock function built in without a 3rd party app?
Yes, but that way I can't have my phone working as a night stand :<

There should be a feature where you can tap the screen while in the night stand app to make it light up, goes off after 20 seconds.
