I would say get this GPU instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130552&cm_re=gtx_480-_-14-130-552-_-Product $10 cheaper and has a rebate as well
Replacing HDD with this one. i see no point in spending $10 more on a HDD when you already have a spinpoint but it's your money [editline]wef[/editline] oh, it's SATA 6.0 still I don't think you will notice a difference between SATA 3 and SATA 6, especially when it's only 7200rpm but I don't know much about hard drives
its my friend's money. i just trust wd more then samsung.
Just want to point out here that arma uses a lot more CPU than GPU. My Athlon x4 @3.3 still struggles to get 40+ frames when a lot of AI are in a scenario, but my 5770 runs it fine with normal AA, 6000-8000 view distance, and normal texture and shadow settings. You might wanna consider dropping your graphics card down and get an i5. Of course this is just for ArmA, other games will behave and perform differently.
I thought performance between the Phenom II x4 955 and the i5 750 are similar [editline]wef[/editline] or actually, you can get a ~$100 1156 motherboard and that will give you money for an i5 760 how about this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130272 and this CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115067&cm_re=i5_760-_-19-115-067-_-Product because I still really see no appeal in getting a SATA 6 drive
I thought performance between the Phenom II x4 955 and the i5 750 are similar
i5 is slightly better, not a huge difference but theres a small noticeable one.

but just know that the motherboard does not support SATA 6.0
its my friend's money. i just trust wd more then samsung.
Seriously, just get a Spinpoint F3. Drives aren't fast enough to take advantage of SATA 6.0gb/s, and an F3 is faster than a Caviar Black.
AFAIK there's only one SSD that takes advantage of SATA 6, HDDs are way behind SSDs and spinpoint F3 > WD black
alright done, WD switched for F3
