Gerhard Bradner ordered 50 pizzas after his plane was diverted to Cheyenne and they waited for thunder and lightning to clear in Denver. Passengers said the entire cabin burst into applause after the pilot announced the delivery on the loudspeaker. The Washington DC to Denver Frontier Airlines flight, with 160 people on board, finally flew on to Colorado.
one awesome pilot.
And this dude paid for it all out of his own pocket, not knowing he'd be reimbursed at all. What an awesome guy.
how much did it cost?
Considering a normal large pizza from most pizzerias is about 15-20 dollars, he spent close to $1000
"I'm not a hero, I just ordered pizza" <-- this guy is too humble [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/111996868/2014/big-u-usaf-female-officer-mess-dress-20758.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/s2Wh6kL.jpg[/t]
Considering a normal large pizza from most pizzerias is about 15-20 dollars, he spent close to $1000
I know the last time someone ordered 40 pizzas from my store it was around $200. Discounted from around $500. Ordering in bulk can get you mad discounts yo.
Well considering there were only 160 people with 50 pizzas and he only ordered pepperoni and cheese, I think he got Little Caesars which has $5 mediums. edit: Nope, wrong box type. Might have been Domino's, though.
Random mass pizza purchases by my ex-boss kept moral up enough to stay with them for 6 months before I became fed up with my abusive supervisor. (Wal-Mart was a step UP from there.) Do not underestimate the power of pizza to quiet an angry mob.
imagine delivering 50 pizzas to a fuckin plane.
Makes me wonder what the pizza place thought when they head the order. "Can you deliver to a plane?" "Sure thi,...wait what?"
imagine delivering 50 pizzas to a fuckin plane.
"Here you go sir, 50 cheese and pepperoni pizzas" "Where's my drink..."
Imagine them trying to get through TSA with 50 pizza boxes.
What is this, some kind of terrorist signaling device!?
It's a teeny tiny mouse sized table.
Trying to smuggle in tiny tables for terrorists
everyone knows they fill their dimly lit caves with plastic tables covered in musky old topographic maps, using AK-47s and wads of cash as paperweights.
It was Domino's http://m.huffpost.com/ca/entry/5570908 [editline]10th July 2014[/editline] Domino's also recently delivered to a train in the UK, feeding everyone onboard http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/fun/news/a573812/chris-ramseys-pizzaonatrain-task-how-he-got-pizza-delivered-on-a-train.html

Don't pilots make a lot of money? all based on assumption, I'd ASSUME they would at least pretty easy to assume he could easily afford it, but that's irrelevant, because most that do make tons of money might not actually do this.
Don't pilots make a lot of money? all based on assumption, I'd ASSUME they would at least
Pilots actually make very little money. [editline]9th July 2014[/editline] at least commercial pilots do.
I really want pizza now :v: But good on him, I feel like any other pilot would've just ordered a pizza for the crew or something.
I'd feel bad if someone missed out on pizza because, by some slim chance, they were both lactose intolerant and vegetarian.
I hope one day to own Guerrin and export the best muzza in the world to the US and destroy those evil corporations. /Random comment off On topic: What a bro. I would totally reimburse the pizza and give some bucks to the captain for doing that.
Those passengers are lucky. Most airplane food tastes like cardboard, this food only came in cardboard.
I'd feel bad if someone missed out on pizza because, by some slim chance, they were both lactose intolerant and vegetarian.
The vegetarian thing sounds like a personal problem, and generally lactose intolerance only results in some gas or a really bad case of diarrhea. I'm developing lactose intolerance and so far I just get stuffy/phlegmy when I drink milk, but it's been getting worse. It makes me sad because I love milk and cheese and cream and all that stuff ):
"Here you go sir, 50 cheese and pepperoni pizzas" "Where's my drink..."
They ordered a Diet Dr Kelp
I'd feel bad if someone missed out on pizza because, by some slim chance, they were both lactose intolerant and vegetarian.
I feel bad for those people anyway.
