Turned computer on today, booted straight to system recovery tool. It failed to fix whatever the problem was, which I didn't know at the time. I ended up cancelling it on the third attempt and went to the command prompt. I've been meaning to format my hard drive for a few weeks now, so I attempted to format it from the cmd. Upon reboot, I get the "BOOTMGR is missing" etc at POST.
So, I shut down and inserted my Windows 7 installation disc, went into my BIOS so it would boot from the cd. After POST, I get the press any key to boot from disc message, but then I get the BOOTMGR message again right after, so I am unable to boot from disc. halp
