Those of you who've seen your iPhone 3G's performance significantly suffer after upgrading to iOS4 will be pleased to know that Apple is aware of the problem and is looking into it, according to one of their spokeswomen. source: Gizmodo
Are they going to give me a free case?
iOS4 is such shit on the 3G I don't really see the huge deal in upgrading. That's why I advised my friends to stay on 3.1.3 until some fix was made.
Any suggestions on how to downgrade from 4? I tried the 5-second button presses and reset, but it automatically reinstalled 4 again. And deleted half my apps.
Finally
IOS4 is a piece of shit on my Ipod Touch 3G....wish they'd make a fix for that.

I havn't noticed much of a difference on mine. Maybe a second extra loading, but if they can improve it, then I won't mind. v:v:v
Fucking finally. I noticed 4.0 is slow as ass at times. Safari hangs at random for 30 seconds to a minute, something is eating all the RAM causing the entire system to hang sometimes. They better make a actual fix for it, and not half arse this one.
Comex tweeted that there's a pretty easy way to make your 3G on IOS4 faster: turn off spotlight search. Go to Settings -> General -> Search (or something like that) and turn off everything (I'm not sure you can actually turn off EVERYTHING, I believe you always have to have 1 item ticked). This should give a performance increase. [editline]02:16PM[/editline] Whoops. It's actually Settings -> General -> Home Button -> Search
Yeah, but that doesn't make a big difference at all... You notice rhe difference, but it's not worth disabling it.
I installed iOS 4 as soon as a jailbreak was out and than downgraded nearly as quick
I want them to optimize os4 so that I don't wake up with 10-20% less charge every morning without ever touching my iPod. Also they need to bring the orientation lock to iPod Touches/iPhone 3G/ect.

finally i was about to get a iphone 4 but am gonna wait until they fix the antenna problem os 4 makes the 3g completely useless i couldn't pick up two calls because the phone simply froze, sat there for a minute and then restarted, with no music or anything on in the background
How do I downgrade from 4.0.1 on my 3GS?
