• Kawaii's Super Fucking Useful Guide About Reloading!

That's right kiddies, I'm making a guide about reloading. This will be split into two parts; your gear, and your posture(cant think of a better word). Your Gear Your gear has a lot to do with how you reload. If you have it set up well you can reload quicker and with less stress. This will be broken into two sections; Fixed vests and MOLLE vests. Fixed Vests If you are poor and Irish and are forced to use a pre set vest, you will most likely be forced to change how you reload according to how the vest is made. If this is so, then skip this part of the tutorial and move onto the posture part. MOLLE Vests If your a rich capitalist and you are blessed with MOLLE, you will be able to adapt your vest to how you reload. To determine this, pretend like your reloading. Where did you reach for your new mag? For most people, this would be near your belly, on the side of your off hand. The next most common would be on your chest. Wherever your hand went, put your mag pouches in that area. Put a dump pouch on the opposite side of your vest. The way you put your mags in the pouches and the way you put the pouches matter too. You want to put the mags with bb side up and facing towards the side with the dump pouch. This will be explained later. I prefer to put my mag pouches upside down so they fall right into my hand. This works too, and can make reloading faster if you like it too. You are now prepared to reload efficiently. Posture The way you reload makes a difference. You want to firmly grab the mag from the pouch and place it into the magwell to avoid dropping them or having to smack them back in. To make sure you get it in the magwell on your first try you should pick them out around the middle of the mag, and hold it firmly, like a beer can. This maximizes control of the mag and allows you to firmly place it into the magwell with quite a bit of force (don't put it in too hard, you may break your hop up). These few tips can help you reload faster. Good luck guys. If you have any tips of your own, post them, and I will add them to the list. Reloading Videos! God I love the titles of your threads, haha. [editline]08:16PM[/editline] Oh yeah, and BC2 taught me how to reload.

More like, drop mag Pull mag out ass Place in Mag well Beat mag in like naughty stepdaughter Pull charging handle (only on ARs)
This is how I reload, from 1:05 to 1:12
I just saw that yesterday. I had to take a double take to figure it out.
It's done with magnets. I have a giant magnet inside each of my magazines so that when I hold the empty magwell over the open-top pouches they load themselves. It also adds an extra forty pounds to my loadout.
Where did you reach for your new mag? For most people, this would be near your belly, on the side of your off hand. The next most common would be on your chest. But having your dump pouch on the opposite side of your vest from you mag pouches? To me that would involve using my trigger hand to stow the mag in the dump pouch on my right side, or do some weird behind my back drop with my off hand. For me I place my dump pouch on my left side, my weak hand side, behind all of my mag pouches. It sits pretty much behind my left ass cheek. This allows me to keep control of my rifle and still be able to shoot it while I'm stowing the empty mag with my off hand. Most people will draw their mags up and out of the pouch. For me, I prefer to have the mag facing down with the front of the mag pointing towards my gun (right). I grab the bottom of the mag and place my index finger on the front of the mag for more control. This is the same method I use on pistol mags so it's consistent. Other people will have the mags facing the other way and use the beer can grip, such as yours.
Posture The way you reload makes a difference. If you double stack mags, I recommend making or buying magpuls. Pull the mag out, get a grip and toss it in the gun. To reload without fumbling your mag in the magwell, keep your rifle in front of you and tilted up with the magwell angled towards your off hand side. This will allow to still see whats going on around you, and allow you to see your mag with relation to the guns magwell. But most of all, just practice. You won't get any better if you only reload during a game. You need to build up that muscle memory and commit to reloading that same way everytime. Watching Magpul's and other training videos do help a lot. Search around Youtube, see how others reload and experiment with what works best for you.
Well, I know I like to have my magazines facing upside down and a certain way so when I grab the magpuls I can turn them upside down in one motion and load them into my gun. I also keep all my mags on my left side and on my left hip/side I keep a dump pouch so when I dump a mag my hand is already there to reload.
Yeah, my dump pouch is on my back, on the same side as my magazine pouches (also on my belt rather than my rig). Another thing to keep in mind, is fastmags. They rock. I keep two on my belt, and there's always mags in them- unless I've somehow gone through three magazines in one shootout, I'll transition magazines into them, because they make reloading so fast. All I do is pull down to get the mag out (they're mounted upside down on my belt) then up into my gun. It's fast. I do have to get a picture of my loadout in it's latest incarnation to show this properly...
My advice, if you have MOLLE, set up your pouches on the opposite side of your shooting hand, you'll be able to reach mags easier without reaching across your body.
For me Fast mags took up too much real estate on my vest. 2 fast mags would take up about the same area as 3 double mag pouches.
No fastmags on my vest. I've got a pair on my belt.
My mag pouches are too small for my AK mags so it takes like 10 seconds to reload, I need bigger pouches.
Kinda related but what the hell rig is this guy using? Note: Doesn't look like a molle [editline]w00t[/editline] starts at 0:25
Looks like the dude stuck some fastmags on a Vietnam era belt and suspenders kit.
Good ol' gear. You kids and your fancy high tech MOLLE system. I love my combat suspenders setup. Its so much lighter and less bulky :D
Looks like some sort of MOLLE belt with harness and some sort of custom made under arm MOLLE panels.

My mag pouches are a tight fit for my magazines but I like to have them a bit more to the right side of the vest which means I have to reach across a little.
That's for NAZI COMMIES FROM IRAQ. The AMMMMMERICAN way to reload is: 1-Drop old mag to the ground. Maybe you're a HIPPIE and want to recycle it, or you're a PINKO and want to share with your heretic comrades. A REAL AMERICAN will let it rot after the battle, for CAPITALISM allows you to buy more mags. 2-Pull new mag from your vest. The vest must be MOLLE and LOOK GREAT, if possible with STARS AND STRIPES everywhere. Grab the new mag in a totally AWESOME way, hit yourself in the head with it TWICE (this is absolutely IMPERATIVE) and then load your gun. 3-Pull something. I don't care what, some part of your AMERICAN GUN will be pullable and you must PULL IT. 4-If you weren't SMOKING LUCKY STRIKES while doing all of this you're a NAZI and must DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. :fsmug::911::fsmug:
I like to keep my mags bb side down. Then I pull from the bottom and rotate my hand, then slam it into the magwell.
I just use magpuls. For handgun reloading I like to keep a spare mag in my off hand.
Any advice on how to keep my dump pouch lip open all the way or to keep it from compacting during operation? Also, preferable attachment points?
Uh, maybe get some medium-thickness metal wire and stitch it into your dump pouch's lip. Haven't tried it, but it sounds like it COULD work, although I'm sure there's some better ways to do it.
Wow! Thanks Kawaii! This is so helpful to me because I'm required to use obsolete web gear!

I just picked up on somthing... we've got a guide on how to reload like a capitalist.
That's for NAZI COMMIES FROM IRAQ.
