Twitter and other social networking sites are buzzing with news about UFO sighted, hovering over the streets of Manhattan. Some New Yorker even posted the videos on YouTube.
Many people witnessed several tiny object shining above the Manhattan streets at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday October 13. The objects were seen hovering over Chelsea.
Videos and photographs of the unbelievable event has become a sharing point on the internet.
Federal Aviation Administration and NYPD have confirmed they received many calls about the sighting.
Officially there is no word about what the objects were but some spectators believe it to be a balloon or a small plane while others agree to disagree. The event was definitely extraordinary and about 5 to 6 lights were shining in the sky.
Have a look at these videos and decide for yourself.
People are also pointing out with reference to a book called Challenges of Change written by Retired NORAD officer Stanley A. Fulham. He predicted that on 13th of October UFO’s will descend upon major cities on Earth.
There are further unconfirmed reports that the Airports in NYC area have been shut down due to some problem with the control centre or the radar or it could just be as a precautionary measure.
Source.
Most interesting excerpt imo:
People are also pointing out with reference to a book called Challenges of Change written by Retired NORAD officer Stanley A. Fulham. This thread is about the sightings themselves. Not the prediction from the retired-NORAD officer that the other thread was based on. This isn't late.

Above is a RT news report on the matter.
Its my North Korean spaceship,no need to freak out everyone
I believe this is kinda late.
Late and it was caused by the "weather"
One big practical joke.

People were releasing tons of yellow balloons.
I don't see a thread based on the news that people are reporting UFO sightings in countless numbers in Manhattan on Oct. 13th. The only thread posted so far was the one regarding the Retired NORAD general. Not late.

I think you mean it was swamp gas guys. :downs:
This is a viral ad for Universal Pictures' Skyline.
I'm sure of it.
People will think anything is real these days.
Yeah, like thinking the weather and hot air balloons can simulate flashing multicolor lights...
Yeah, like paranoia.

They can.
It's balloons
There were threads on /x/ linking to Earthcam web cameras in Manhattan...
Sounds like a placebo to me. All I saw in that footage was a bunch of dots in the sky.
It's aleenz

Have a reference for that? Otherwise this is nothing more than speculation and should be taken as seriously as claims of swamp gas.
It was me and my battle brothers launching simultanious defensive deep strikes.
The enemy is at our door!
Probably weather balloon

Alright, lets purge some xenos.
Write a book, release weather balloons, make millions

a REAL UFO would have been shot down immediately
You know, I read a thread on /x/ no idea if it was a troll or not but it brought up a very good idea. Aliens are really smart, they're able to use almost a portal like technology and they reside in forests, this was on 7chan a year or two ago so don't hold me to my word but I'll try to dig it up
i dunno those balloons seemed like they were in a formation, not randomly released.
OP is American, and doesn't know how to spell Manhattan.

Very late: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?1013440-Mystery-shiny-objects-floating-over-Manhattan-spark-UFO-frenzy
Anyways, it was balloons along with mass hysteria, not UFO's.
Yeah, like thinking the weather and hot air balloons can simulate flashing multicolor lights...
It can, it's called reflection.
No doubt it's a UFO. An unidentified flying object, because it's a flying object and hasn't been identified. I tell you what it's not, though. Aliens. It's not aliens because the chances of interstellar life being within traveling distance of earth are a billion to one, and even that is being generous.
I saw a video of it on the news, it looked like balloons.
Balloon aliens from Jupiter.
Use the search- ohhhh
The alien ships are inside the balloons. Anyone that disagrees is a ShEeP!
