Hi everyone! I got a scratch on the back of my laptop, so I decided to search for some hard shell back covers for my Compaq CQ56 256SA (This one: [url]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Compaq-CQ56-256-Processor-Windows-Premium/dp/B004UFOTC6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328557928&sr=8-2[/url]). The peculiar thing was that I didn't find any covers, maybe they're not popular? only found covers for Apple laptops. Can anyone give me some info on where to buy some covers, if there are any? I saw laptop stickers, but I didin't really like them.

I could be stupid (because I don't usually put anything on the back of my laptops) but if the screen diagonal size matches the back cover should fit, right?
Yeah I was thinking about that as well, but maybe there are customized back covers for my laptop.

Your laptop isn't really the peak of fashion. There's simply too many laptops to make something like that.

Could just swap out the back cover for a new one.
You can get the part number without taking the laptop apart via the PartSurfer:

I get you want to protect your investment, but if you actually use the laptop, itll get scratched. Something you just have to deal with.
You could get some sticky back plastic and stick that over the back.
Just find some stickers that you like, and don't just get enough to cover the scratch, get enough the cover the entire back.
