Yes it's worth it. I'll take one-time payments over freemium anytime.

I'll take ads over $10 for a mobile game anytime.
The ideal situation is to have both.
Not really no, almost £10 for a mobile game?
I could get like 4 other iphone games with more content in them for that price, nintendos taking the piss.

Sadly, it seems much of Apple's user-base disagrees, cause the game is sitting at 2.5/5 stars right now, and the majority of the bad reviews are apparently because people feel "cheated" by the price tag. As opposed to, say, the zillions of games that claim to be free to play but are designed to psychologically addict you to microtransactions.

Typical mobile gamers. Not happy to pay $9.99 but will happily pay hundreds of dollars on microtransactions on a "free" game

It's just a runner game. It may have that Nintendo polish, but $10 is still a lot compared to something like Rayman Jungle Run that's $3, let alone all the free ones. $10 on mobile gets you GTA3 and Vice City, or XCOM: Enemy Unknown with Enemy Within (1/5 the price on Steam). IIRC Bioshock was $10 was when it was on the app store.
$10 for a runner is ridiculous.
I do think the game is better for having an upfront price, but $10 is too much for a runner.
I won't be buying it because the data usage is ridiculous and I have a limited data plan.
i've been having tons of fun with the demo version so i'll probably buy the full one
really though it's great that a large company like nintendo is working against the extreme undervaluing of mobile games
It's a bit more than just a runner. really. First off, it's not an endless one; it has individually designed levels with collectibles and a variety of different routes & choices. You will play each one a dozen times to beat your highscore.
Then there's the multiplayer races that are endless, but timed. Whoever does the most flips and gets the most coins, wins.
Honestly, I think i'd rather have Virtual Console for Android. Then again, they can't make it because the existence of Bluetooth gamepads means Android exclusivity.

you can use bluetooth gamepads on ios?

Good luck finding games that support it. At least with Android, you have a lot more options.

I'm not surprised. Nintendo did not appear to set any expectation that said "Hey, you're actually getting a demo with three free levels and then you have to pay for more!" until you actually downloaded the app and played a few levels.
I don't mind too much that they want to charge $15AUD for their game, but it's something I want to know before downloading it.

I don't see anything positive about big companies raising prices.
Especially for a timed exclusive mobile runner game.

If I'm dropping $10 I expect more. I can get GTASA for less. I didn't pay $10 for BIT.TRIP Runner, and I'm not paying $10 for this.

You're assuming a lot. You can use the same argument for HITMAN™ but there's plenty of people out there like me who don't.
$10 feels like a lot for what is being offered. $5 seems like more of a fair price.
I really don't know why they didn't just make all of world 1 free, and then charge 1.99 or whatever per world, and then have the 9.99 on top as a "buy everything with some bonuses" deal.
It just seems like a really weird choice to me. Then again, Nintendo's always been kinda slow to this sorta thing.
sonic jump also had a price tag so it makes sense to me

The problem people are having isn't that it costs money, but that it's $10.
Sonic Jump is also weird case, it's a port/remake of a flip phone game
