But Ford, who has previously said he does not use crack, and who did not discuss the content of the video, also said he would not step down and planned to run in the next election. "Chief, I'm asking you to release this video now," Ford said on his weekly radio show, referring to Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair. "Whatever this video shows ... Toronto residents deserve to see it, and people need to judge for themselves what they see on this video," Ford said. "I'm the first one to admit I'm not perfect. I have made mistakes. I have made mistakes and all I can do right now is apologize for the mistakes. I sincerely, sincerely apologize to my family, to the citizens, to taxpayers of this great city." Ford said he wanted to move forward, but recognized he has to make changes in his life.
huh...
That was unexpected.
One small step for man, one giant leap for politics

oops, meant politicians.
More like his advisers told him to do this if he wants a chance at winning next election. It's the typical " I admit i did something wrong, unlike other politicians who never admit, please vote for me"

I would vote for him.
Good thing I live in the city ABOVE Toronto!
I want to see a concert with Viper and Rob Ford in the rogers center.
Good thing I live in the city ABOVE Toronto!
Barrie?
Barrie?
Vaughan
It's beginning to become the only affordable area to live near Toronto. With brampton and Mississauga prices skyrocketing and the fact that all the jobs are in Toronto, its not good news at all. And Scarborough, nobody wants to live there.. lol

They completely ruined the skyline in downtown
That's not entirely true, plus Toronto has the most condos being built of any city IIRC.
Yup [t]http://wpmedia.o.canada.com/2012/10/number-of-high-rises-and-skyscrapers-under-construction-in-north-america-infographics.jpg[/t] And that's even still missing this year's round of new projects.
They completely ruined the skyline in downtown
City skylines are constantly changing, saying no to new buildings just for the sake of "looks" can easily back a city into a corner when comes to providing sufficient housing.
Vaughan
Vaughan has some crummy people. Then again, so does my town. Regardless, this guy is a fucking crack head. Literally. If it was any other person, he'd be thrown in jail for it.
Lets not forget that all those condos are going for outrageous prices that most residence in tornto can't afford. Most of the buyers in this market are coming from other cities. Also, the new condo contracts are going to be the death of one of the best clubbing districts in toronto. Within a few years the guvernment and kool haus complexes, which happen to rank on the list of world best club venues will be gone. as someone who makes money from djing this is horrifying.
isn't there a similar problem in vancouver as well?
It's fucking condo city in Vancouver and the rest of the Lower Mainland coast. I grew up in White Rock and it's so utterly different from what I originally knew. But like he said it's not really a problem, it's an evolution of the city skylines. Until they start building condos large enough and plentiful enough to block out the mountains I couldn't give a shit.

Everything that's east, west and north of Toronto is so well spaced out, I like the space-ness in Mississauga. Driving there is fine and it looks newer (because it is newer).
I have a feeling that Rob's feeling the pressure, at long last, over the crack video. Also, now that the police have confirmed it exists, he doesn't gain any benefit from lying and pretending it doesn't. Now, it benefits him to have it made public where he can spin it (as opposed to in a court of law, where it would be entered as evidence) to his advantage in his effort to paint himself as a good, if imperfect, conservative man who is the victim of a vicious smear campaign by his enemies.
isn't there a similar problem in vancouver as well?
Vancouver's problem is more an intensifying gentrification effect, especially in the runup to the 2010 Olympics, than a skyline beauty preservation problem.
Wow I can't believe he did this. I guess it is just a last-resort since he was basically caught red-handed. personally I'd still vote for him as long as he did a good job of what he does.
They completely ruined the skyline in downtown
Everyone just says that because they think it's the right thing to say. I love how they look personally and I'm happy that the city's growth is on such positive terms. I plan to stay in Toronto in the long term (Moved here from Northern Ontario) and I'm comfortable knowing that there are going to be plenty of nice but realistic options that'll allow me to stay downtown, which is where I need to be for my interests and general career. [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] Wow that had to be the most canned thing I've ever posted
"A Canadian apologizing" is just redundant.
"A Canadian apologizing" is just redundant.
In reality, canadians are just like every other country everyone is a dick

I don't know what its like up in north york and vaughn but brampton is sketchy as FUCK. Also, the worst drivers on the planet reside there.
I generally try and avoid Bramladesh and Scarberia.
I generally try and avoid Bramladesh and Scarberia.
Pretty racist.
