According to Gorani, United Nations staff found four-year-old Marwan carrying his worldly possessions in a plastic bag alone in the desolate Jordanian desert. The child was fleeing the violence in Syria and had been separated from relatives.

Marwan and the family were later reunited, Gorani said.
Jesus, what a horrible situation to be in. At least the right people found him.
Oh fuck. Great that there was a decent ending. That desert shot though. That's going to be one of the photos of the war.
The thought of such a tiny little child wandering that desert all alone is mind blowing for some reason.
Holy shit, that the kid managed to survive is amazing.
Must'ave been fucking terrible.
My condolences.
What a story to tell.
Hopefully it didn't fuck him up too much. The picture is heartbreaking.
I guess they forgot to mention the group of other people walking on the other side of the camera.

oh wow
Still sucks to be wandering in a desert, even if not alone.
Think they meant alone as in he was the only one from his family there
Misleading title imo, I thought it meant the title was walking totally, 100% solo through the desert with only a bag to his name.
Now look at that group. Small children and women.
According to the article he actually was reunited with his family, that's fantastic!
And I cried like a little bitch when I got lost in the supermarket...
What a champ. Brave kid for sure.
Glad he got reunited with his family.

Should be a movie tbh
I have no smartass comments or snarky jokes to make about this.
Jesus, I think I'm broken. . .
Leave the Fremen to their ways
He's wearing a Nike shirt

...Why???
...Why???
A lot of groups in the middle-east don't like anything to do with America, or western type countries even if it's just a shirt associated with it.

No, no, not really.
They view those kind of stuff just as anyone else in the world.
He was apparently crossing with his family but got separated briefly from them. They were reunited 'around 10 minutes later'
Gee thanks FP for ruining a truly heartwarming story.
ok this went from 'heartwarming' to 'ehh' to 'why is this even being reported'
It still sucks that little children and their mothers have to walk through the desert like that to scape the war.

In light of the rest of the article, I imagine all those who rated 'agree' wish they could change this to 'disagree' now.
What a clumsy article, good luck spotting the relevance of the actual refugees escaping the country en masse, because they sure as hell didn't bother pointing it out
