Hello, I'm doing some upgrades in the next month with Christmas with my Aunt and Uncle this Thursday, my Birthday in 2 weeks, and Christmas in 4 weeks. I believe that I will have rougly ~$300 to spend on RAM, a motherboard, and a processor. So far I know that I want: Phenom II X2 A motherboard that supports ACC core unlocking And memory that fits in with the motherboard of course (This is where I have been having trouble, I remember this summer when 4gb of DDR2 cost ~$30 and am now clusterfucked with RAM prices.) I do not have any preference to the above except for what I have stated. However, I do not want RAM that is uncovered w/no heatsink. I already have on the way for Christmas: Cooler Master CM690 OCZ Fatal1ty 550w Modular PSU Caviar 320gb HD @ 7200rpm

That's actually one of the configurations that I put together a while ago. Do you think that you could find anything cheaper than that? I know there are mobos with ACC that are ~$70ish.
You should never go less than about 80bux on an AM3 board if you're overclocking/unlocking. Here's a cheaper set. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131603 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.286798
Woudln't this work as well for quite a bit cheaper (I don't care about the extra 100 mhz on the other Phenom II X2). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128392 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.295037
Not too well. I haven't heard any reports of that particular X2 unlocking to a stable quad or tri. That and you would need a board that supports DDR2.

iirc boards with the SB700 south bridge don't have ACC. And if you'll be doing anything crazy with the CPU (overclocking, unlocking) I strongly suggest getting a black edition.
