For some reason the last 2 weeks my Google Chrome crashes about 3-5 times per day...! I can't figure out what the problem is, it used to work p well but now it crashes often and I have to restart it and restore all pages that were open! Any idea? [editline]1:54pm[/editline] Problem solved!

Have you tried reinstalling it?
Have you tried reinstalling it?
No, I don't think that will change anything. It was working just fine 2 week ago, and it updates normally...! Am I the only one having that problem? :S
If your using the Dev version like I am then there are going to be a lot of problems. I've noticed that whenever my laptop changes which wireless network it is connected to in an odd way (like when I hibernate it at home and then wake it at work), chrome seems to crash. If your not using the dev or beta then I suggest you get onto the Google bug tracker and report the problem because they may look at it a lot quicker, if it is the dev or beta then chances are they already know about it.
Thanks for that... Chrome just updated. If it continues to crash every once in a while, I will follow your advice! (btw the update fucked some of the "pinned tabs"' features up!)
Just reinstall. It won't take long and it might do some good. And if not what did you lose?

Edit: Chrome Dev got updated, "Crash when changing networks or waking from sleep (Issue: 44724)" http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/
Reinstalling could help, despite what you think. I used to have the same issue using Google Chrome portable on my usb, I never solved that though, I just installed Firefox portable.
I made a full uninstall of the application using Revo... I had my data synchronized to my account, so I didn't even keep a back-up... So far it has only crashed once, so I am kinda ambitious! But... there's another problem that I didn't mention at the first place! When I try visiting some specific websites, with IMDb and Hotmail being the most frequent, chrome keeps displaying some kind of code instead of the webpage, which (the code) changes every time I refresh. So I have to refresh again and again to get to the website. After the re-installation of chrome, that problem was solved for IMDb, but nothing changed with Hotmail! Any ideas? [editline]07:50AM[/editline] I could add some screenshots if you want to...
Does it do the same thing in another browser or does the other browser work fine?
Works fine with firefox!
If you're going to switch browser because of your problems, please don't use Firefox, it's like the new IE. Use Opera instead. It's a shame that you're having these problems as Chrome is the browser master race, I for one have never had anything wrong with it.

I'm not thinking of using another browser, if I wanted to I would have already done it! But these problems I am having are being annoying sometimes, so I try to find a solution!
I've been having a similar problem since Chrome just updated. I'm on the dev channel, and out of nowhere, Windows will pop up with a "Chrome.exe has stopped responding" message, though chrome and all my tabs are still there.

Never had a single crash with chrome ever. Firfox used to crash every day or so, I strongly recommend you do not opt for Firefox.
I had this ages with Chrome Portable.. I starte using Firefox portable, was a stable and good browser, I'm at home on my pc using Firefox now, It's crashed once ever, and it took 5 seconds to go back to where I was thanks to that Tab Recovery thing.
well firefox is just too slow compared to Chrome...! It gets 10x time to even launch compared to Chrome! And that's one big reason I prefer Chrome! So, anyway, could the problem possibly occur due to some theme or add-on I am using?
Disable them all and check.
well with a second though, add-ons were removed when I uninstalled, and the theme I am using is the one I've been using for a long time, ages before these problems first occurred! So I guess that's not what I'm looking for!
Stop typing with ! it make is seem like your yelling at us.
I'm running Chrome on my gaming desktop. I've had problems where it would crash within minutes, but it magically cured itself.
Problem Solved! I just removed the theme, going back to the classic one, and everything works just fine! No crashes, all pages load normally! This damn theme was even removed from the Google Chrome Themes Gallery... There should be sth wrong with it!

To all those who might have crash problems with google chrome, the first thing you should check is the following: If you have IDM(internet download manager) installed, then just disable the advanced browser integration, or just uncheck Chrome from the list bellow. This will fix it all! PS: sorry for double posting, but it was the only way of letting others know!
