Why would anyone buy another game from the devs who nearly killed the DMC series?

From what I've heard it's supposed to be a really good action adventure. Most people only dislike the new main character.

No, the entire writing was garbage from start to finish in the most heinous of ways, even taking it completely aside from everything to do with the rest of the series the writing is comparable in quality to the room but not enjoyable bad. Spoilers, obviously:
[sp]In one scene during a hostage exchange, one of the fucking main protagonists shoots a big hole in a pregnant woman's chest, there's a bunch of all around creepiness, everything is super cringeworthy and ~edgy~, etc[/sp]
as for the gameplay it's supposedly super easy compared to the old games in the series and doesn't have nearly the quality
I feel like we know very little about this game.
As for DmC, I can say it's a very good port and gameplay is easy but as a whole it's somewhere between God of War and DMC. Which for DMC fans is disappointing, another problem is color coded enemies and no manual lock-on. I also think the game can look pretty at times but the rest is garbage.

It's not an essay man, I was just talking about how unpleasant the storyline is. I'm sure someone better at writing than me could explain the exact reasons why it's bad writing but you could also just go watch some of the cutscenes yourself, I mean it's all on youtube. The gist of it though is it starts off trying to be goofy funny action (which works, if you're consistent) with things like a scene of him getting dressed with his trailer or whatever flying around with various objects covering up his junk, and that just doesn't go well with some of the other shit going on. It's similar to the problem duke nukem forever had with the whole goofy DNF fun that it started out with and then the horrifying bit in the alien hive with the women being mutilated that you have to mercy kill. To put it in Yahtzee's words "it's like they spliced a couple of minutes of the human centipede into mall rats".

Really good? Nah. Ill give it a good though, thats ignoring everything involving characters, words, or any speaking at all.
Suffered from some shit designs, the heaven/hell weapons+swapping+enemies were just tedious and really unfun to fight.
INSANELY easy to get SSS.
Other than that, its a good action adventure with some rather nice visuals. The problem is, its nothing like a real DMC game, thats why so many people hate it. Its a complete butchery coming from DMC 3 and 4. As its own thing ignoring that its good.
DmC would have been a hell of a lot better if it wasn't allegedly a DMC game. I'm much more interested in their new game since it's a new IP.

There's wayyyyyyy more problems with the game than it just trying to be a DMC game, but it certainly would be less upsetting for fans of the original games
I was a huge fan of the old series and had no beef with DmC at all, it was really fun but sorely immature at times, I'll probably buy the PS4 re-release and check out the new modes.
