Silent Hills is such a great loss for horror games. Had it been completed I have no doubt it'd raise the bar on horror games.

What a shitty fucking move by Konami though. I still can't believe it. Fuck them.

Not gonna stop Del Toro/Kojima from making another horror game on-par.
Y'know, considering del Toro's horror leanings, and Kojima's affinity for stealth, maybe the game that comes out of this partnership will be a sort of stealth-focused survival horror title? The main character probably wouldn't have a gun like Harry and James or Detective Budget, and it would instead revolve around our intrepid survivor trying to avoid being seen and caught as they are hunted by all manner of creepy enemies.

Yes. And with better stealth mechanics to boot.

Not really.

You'll probably be better off watching Helloween's LP on it for the rest of it. At least that way you don't have to control it AND you get a disappointed Englishman grumbling at all the shoddiness.
All aboard for Quiet Mountains

I've got good news for you, James! That gum you like is going to... come back, in style!

Amnesia, Penumbra?
Kinda, though probably with a few more things.

PT in itself was a masterpiece of the entire horror genre and it should be a crime that konami blasted it off the face of the planet, let alone axing silent hills which i do not doubt would have been one of the best pieces of horror, ever.
The only good thing about Konami booting Kojima is that now Kojima and Toro hop onto kickstarter and make a shit ton of money thanks to the love of fans, and Konami eats shit because they lost the one thing they're known for today.
Hope Konami enjoys a life of forgettable mediocrity.

Dunno, I stopped after the Resident Evil 4-esque village.

Well, they still have gambling and Pez to keep them afloat.
Either way I hope they're not forgotten. I hope they're the ones we remember as "those fucking morons that fired Kojima"
