It was a bumpy start of 2014 for Adamescu, who first lost the right to manage his insurance company, which was put under special administration by the Romanian Financial Supervision Authority, and who was later in the year indicted.
Prosecutors believe that Adamescu sent EUR 5,000 and EUR 15,000 to judges Ion Stanciu and Elena Roventa in December 2013 via several middlemen. He expected them to rule in favor of some of Adamescu’s companies in several insolvency court cases.
The DNA prosecutors already got the court to rule for the arrest of four judges who are suspected of having taken bribes from several local businessmen in order to rule in their favor in commercial lawsuits. The Romanian media found out that one of Adamescu’s lawyers turned informant. The lawyer, who was just 38 years old, threw himself in front of the subway train in the beginning of this week (Monday, May 19) at the Universitate station, soon after he found out that the four judges had been arrested, according to Gandul.info. This is big, this guy is the second most richest person in Romania, and it is believed the case will only get bigger. This country's fight against corruption gets better and better by the year.
he "threw himself"
Typical Romulans!
why did the lawyer kill him self.?
why did the lawyer kill him self.?
He gave info to the authorities. I suppose he was too scared of Adamescu's wrath and just gave up.

In the quoted fucking OP:
Gandul also writes that the lawyer was one of the middlemen who allegedly took the bribes from Adamescu to the judges.
This probably has a lot to do with it, those allegations are probably at least partially right.

It's probably hes more scared about Adamescu's goons. It doesn't say in this news-piece but neighbors said the day before he killed himself he was visited by three men that talked with him, and he was very stressed throughout the whole conversation.
Getting sentenced as a middle-man ain't something to kill yourself over

Isn't that illegal anyways? Lawyers can't defend you and then turn around and give the police everything you told them. If they can do that then whats the point?

Did you read the OP?
It's not what he "told" him, these two were hand-in-hand for quite some time. Now when the lawyer saw the the road has ended and the authorities are closing in, he decided to snitch on Adamescu.

Generally illegal - you would lose your license and probably be fined/imprisoned. Except, in this case the country probably bent the laws a bit because they would never get this information otherwise.
