When the Moon was round, the volunteers took longer to nod off and had poorer quality sleep, despite being shut in a darkened room, Current Biology reports.
Source(BBC) Interesting.
Are they sure they weren't running around as lycans?
The furry senses were tingling.
So what exactly is the full moon doing to cause this?
The study took place in German Switzerland. Germans are known for their weird, zoophilic fetishes. Germany is also known for having a huge furry population. Fursuits are externally similar to lycanic creatures. ERGO, WEREWOLVES.
The moon causes some weird stuff. My mom works at a nursing home and according to her, every time there's a full moon all the residents are much worse in their behaviour.
Just rub one up and you'll sleep like an infant.

Anyway, I do have trouble sleeping with the full moon, as seem others. But I always figured it's just something superstitious.
The furry senses were tingling.
probably explains why i can't ever sleep before like 2-3 am durring full moons and this summer's supermoons are terrible

What supernatural bullshit is this. I want a real scientific reason why a full moon would ever disturb your sleep. Sounds like mumbo jumbo trash to me.
Now can we do one of these studies not with the moon but with obnoxious power LEDs?
Well the tide is effected by the gravitational pull of the moon, who can say with full certainty that we know enough of the human brain to say that no similar effect could exist?
Hmmm, tidal forces? Can't think of anything else.
Maybe but its mostly the primitive sense of being able to see what's in the dark.
The entire moon is always there, we just cannot see part of it due to the shadow of the earth, right? So why would seeing more of the moon affect us in any way?
The entire moon is always there, we just cannot see part of it due to the shadow of the earth, right? It's like some people don't want to live in certain homes because they were told previously it was ~haunted~
Well, were the people studied always aware that there was a full moon? If they were aware, then it might have been the placebo effect. If they weren't aware, that's how we'd know if it wasn't just imagination.

Then, when a weregerman finds a lost Swiss French child, he starts yodeling to call the rest of the pack and they devour them alive.
I was looking at the full moon with my telescope last night.
Isn't it supposed to be a matter of gravitational pull that causes this? Or does the lunar surface reflect certain non-visible wavelengths that influence us?
Clearly we're all being affected by Blutz Waves, thankfully nobody has turned into a giant monkey yet. Interesting that even with senses deprived the same way, the effects of the Moon are noticeable even if it isn't visible. Maybe it has something to do with our genetics and how we react to lunar cycles, kind of like how wolves and coyotes do as a comparison.

Are there any events that disrupt the lunar schedule?
i've allways had some issues with sleeping during a full moon and i'm thinking it has to do with how bright the moonlight is. some people just can't sleep with the lights on! If i simply close the curtains i no longer have any trouble sleeping.
I was hoping it'd explain why I've been staying up for two days straight lately. But then I remembered my sleeping schedule is always fucked beyond belief.

You'd know if you graduated from high school

It's true. I was having trouble sleeping a couple of days ago during the full moon. Something just felt different about the night and it was harder to fall asleep.
I like sleeping with the light of a full moon. The soft light it gives off is oddly relaxing.
I thought my mother was joking when she told me that all the weirdos come out during a full moon.
My friend said to never ever go to an ihop at 1am during a full moon
