Probably easier to begin with pictures. I have three drives here. One 500GB samsung portable thing, one 1TB internal samsung drive with two partitions, and a WD drive my previous OS install and some stuff sits on, which is not visible. When I initially installed windows 7 this drive showed up but it doesn't anymore. It's there in the BIOS and windows can see the partition, but I cannot for the life of me get it to show up. What can I do about this?
Hi Carl. I actually have the same problem with a (Sata) hard drive not showing up on Vista after reinstalling OS.
Head to disk management (right click Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management) and make sure the drive is being assigned a drive letter. Also, hello Kai. It's most annoying starting posts with mindless snooping of a facebook profile. Hope this helps in the future, Anthony xx (More of a generalisation than anything, its happening alot since adding the social network links)

I assume Kai got Carl's name from his screenshot, what with it being on there and everything.

Yeah, from the Screenshot :P but yeah, mine's not showing up, just my other 2 hard drives and disk drive. How annoying. Sorry I thought since I'm having a similar problem I'd join the thread.
