Look it up if you dont know what it is.
What parts did he use, and how much will they cost in AU$, I want to make a new build. I will only need enough memory for windows though.
you can really use any Matx board and low profile cardsthe hard thing is finding the PSU, but you vould by a barebone MSI wind nettop and gut it and put everything in any console. or just look for a mini-itx/ION
If your implying you want to do a similar project know what your getting yourself into, on computer parts everything is measured and easy for you but fitting all those parts in a random compact space is a different story.
If you want to build one yourself, be prepared to make a whole ton of measurements, use a whole lot of extra materials (metal, mesh, plastic, etc.) and drill out your own mobo holes. You probably won't find a PSU that size easily, and low profile PCI cards are less common than their full height counterparts.
tl;dr - you aren't putting together a computer, you are turning an xbox into a computer case, then putting together a computer inside that.
Does Newegg deliver to Australia?
and I am prepared to take apart the xbox and do it, It probably won't look as good as the original, but meh. I can get any materials i need, and I may end up just putting a wood board underneath everything and securing the parts to that.
The hardest part will be making the ventilation on the sides, were the up-down plastic is on the sides of the original xbox

No. Only USA and Canada.
fuck them then
Ill go to the computer store. I'd much rather not, because the guy is a complete asshole, who keeps telling me the cheap shit, that he marks up the the same price, is 10 times better
you will not be able to do this without extensive skill

Or extreme patience. Don't start a project like this unless you have the tools to finish it.
Hurr durr tools talking about tools durr. :downs:

I have decided i might salvage parts from my current computer
How do i find out what I currently have, I lost the sheet that the manufacturer gave me
Well, CPU-Z is the best bet. Followed by DXDiag and opening your pc up
Downloading CPU Z
It failed to install, downloading no install version 32 bit, because I'm 99% sure XP is 32

What upgrades should I get?
Which bit version of windows 7 would be best with these upgrades

your pc looks fine but a
640 X4 and 5750 would help
Did you mean the X4 640
and the 5750 Video card
LAter today I will be taking my PC apart to measure the parts, then I will go and figure out exactly how I will do it.
Im thinking I may end up putting a sheet of timber underneath the whole thing, and screw through into that. I might make a metal box too, and modify the Xbox to go over it
