NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT 512MB Video Card (XFX)
That is the card so what would the best processor be for this card the card can run skyrim MW3 Battle field 3 on medium settings smoothly so what would be a cost effeciant (under 200) processor to compliment this card?
i3 2100
I doubt that card will run BF3 on low. That aside, an i3 is probably your best bet.
Thanks guys I will look into it.

Don't discount the 8800 series. Medium maybe. bf3 is mostly CPU, so get the best cpu possible

We don't know what socket his mobo is either though. If it's a really old socket then he should probably just get a new system altogether.
He is re using his GPU, His title says hes building a new PC so thats what hes doing but hes asking what CPU he could get that wouldn't bottleneck for under $200, for $219 he could get the i5 2500k but the i3 will do him just fine.
Would you guys think that this card is good and would work well for Skyrim and BF3 with the I5?
Edit:
Well the video card I was going to use is no longer availible can you guys recommend a card for under 250?

For now yes, I would eventually upgrade to a 6850 or 460 at least which is about $150ish, and then when you get more money a 560 ti for $220 would be pretty good.

LOL. BF3 is not mostly CPU at all. Sure it can take advantage of more threads, but GPU is the most bottleneck. 980x at 4.5ghz with HT on, and my 2x GTX580 heavily overclocked on water are still the bottleneck. I'm limited by my 1.5GB vRAM limit at 1080P with 4x AA
Oh yeah, as for reference, my friends GTX260 216 core can barely play BF3 at medium with a highly oc'd i7 2600K at <1080P

what
thats a waste of money
rather either save up for a 560ti right away, or get the 6850/460 and sli/crossfire it later
buying a card that is just a little bit above for 220 dollars is silly if you have a perfectly functional card to crossfire.

yeah that logic didn't make any sense, thanks for correcting me naos. Also how come nobody ever suggests the regular GTX 560? Is a bad card or just a waste of money since the 560 ti is $20 more?
Not a waste of money, rather better performance for a little more.
Its not a day and night difference, but it can just as well be worth those extra 20 bucks.
ATI Radeon HD 4250 this is my current card is the card I listed above an improvment or a step backwards?
Its a step up but you can most likely get something by far better.
