Also they posted a new video about improved damage modeling too;

This is beautiful
What state is this game in so far? I know that arena module is out and I've been watching a channel that posts regularly about it and the flying seems sort of wonky.
As for planetside, I only know of that presentation from last year regarding the landing cutscene.

The arena is essentially pay-to-win at this point, because it's dominated by players who've bought the $180 fighters.
So is this game single-player, multiplayer or MMO?
Ive seen it be called all three in both official and unofficial sources and i dont know what to believe anymore.
Also how well does this compete versus ELITE: Dangerous and EVE: Valkyrie? Because it looks damn impressive so far.
Squadron 42 is the singleplayer campaign and it's supposed to be like a modern day Wing Commander. Star Citizen is the multiplayer portion where it's conservatively going to be like a glorified Freelancer, or optimistically like Star Wars Galaxies except with a 70/30 space to ground ratio versus Galaxies' 30/70.
It's hard to tell how it compares to Eve Valkyrie because that's not out. It's also hard to compare it to Elite Dangerous because Star Citizen isn't out yet. I can only tell you what Star Citizen is supposed to be, but take that with a grain of salt.
Elite is a large procedural universe that is a mile wide and an inch deep. Star Citizen meanwhile has a lot of depth in how everything in the game comes together. It has a smaller universe, but it's hand crafted rather of procedurally generated. From my understanding Eve Valkyrie is a dedicated space shooter, so like Freespace 2 if Freespace 2 only had multiplayer. Not that comparable I guess as Valkyrie is much more focused on being a multiplayer arena dogfighter.
The Retaliator is a precision bomber, right?
