• Vreel.net - The new Stage6 ?

Hey guys! Apparently this new site uses the same streaming technology and player as our beloved stage6 used to. The DivX stuff. Here are some examples: Hancock Trailer http://beta.vreel.net/watch_3678.html Some dudes BoomBlox Level http://beta.vreel.net/watch_12887.html Laurel and Hardy http://beta.vreel.net/watch_5521.html Flogging Molly: Drunken Lullabies(bad upload) http://beta.vreel.net/watch_1868.html However, there still are some problems, some videos take a good while to connect, some are timing out. Still, it is a god way to show off your videos without the crappy youtube compression. The connection takes about 1 or 2 minutes! (at least for me sitting in Europe. Wait for that! The Buffering is fast! +It's still a beta! Have fun. http://beta.vreel.net Edit: Works like a charm now. Watch Grounddog Day if you want to: http://beta.vreel.net/watch_28999.html
You Serious? :O
You Serious? :O
Have a look.
Awesome, streaming high definition video, thanks.
Looks good.
I just had a look into their forums. Looks like the disabled uploads because of a bug. Meh. Every time I want to show you guys something cool it gets destroyed :(
I've been watching it for a while :) I love the way you can embed the videos, it's fucking awesome. http://beta.vreel.net/profile_10248.html < That's my profile :)
Hahaha, I love the bang test. http://beta.vreel.net/watch_10053.html
That's freaking awesome. Thanks for this.

This is truly awesome, stage6 was awesome, lets hope this is just as good.:)
I've been following this for a while, there's a lot of good uploads on there
IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME
Been following it's progress since 2nd May. It's still really bug and has a lot of problems. Lots of layout problems and so on, but it's good. I even got the highest postcount on their forum.
Pretty awesome. Hopefully it won't be long until more people start using it and more videos get on there.
I already made an account on there and uploaded all my YouTube videos.
IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME
They are not trying to be the same. They are trying to be the new stage6. But they don't want to BE stage6. Also the loading issues for the movies now are not Vreel's fault. It's limelight's fault.
Is it me or does the quality look kinda blurry. More than normal.
Is it me or does the quality look kinda blurry. More than normal.
Play in windowed mode. Videos are stretched if you watch them in normal webplayer mode. So low-res videos looks like shit and becomes out of proportion.
I should make stage7 and ride the wave!
I should make stage7 and ride the wave!
And how will you store the videos and pay the extreme bills for your gigs of bandwidth being eating? Vreel has been public for soon a month and has had about 500TB bandwidth being eaten.
The connection takes about 1 or 2 minutes! (at least for me sitting in Europe. Wait for that! The Buffering is fast! +It's still a beta!
I'm in Europe and it takes less than a second.
Uploading takes a while though.
Uploading takes a while though.
They currently only got uploading servers in America. But those who lives in America has managed to get a 600 kb/s upload speed. I've managed 108 kb/s at max, usually around 70 kb/s. Now I'm at 40 kb/s
I still prefer Veoh. But this is very nice though. For those wondering, http://www.veoh.com
I still prefer Veoh. But this is very nice though. For those wondering, http://www.veoh.com
Veoh is nice and certainly bigger, but this one has a slightly better quality. Well, depends on the uploaded video.
I still prefer Veoh. But this is very nice though. For those wondering, http://www.veoh.com
Veoh has blocked access for over 120 countries because of lack of activity from those countries. (It's quite incredible that Norway hasn't been blocked) And the quality sucks ass compared to Vreel. When Vreel get's stable and get's a good community it'll kick ass.
I just watched the hi-def trailer for Hancock. A few stutters aside, I'm amazed that quality like that is found in a stream through the Internet.
to bad the site is fugly
