What a lad
He is gonna be the most badass kid in the playground.
robert downey jr is awesome
His ability to improvise in-character is astounding.
This guy is the textbook definition of 'born to play a role'.
That kid's prosthetic actually looks really good.
I still think that 3D-printed bionic limbs are the tightest shit. If I ever lose a limb, it won't cost me another limb just to own a bionic one.
Robert Downey Jr. is fucking great, that that bionic is fucking rad.
that arm is some incredible shit, i wonder how it works?
and fuck me rdj has such a good voice

i like the idea but like...
the kid looks significantly sadder after he gets the arm. I think this is one of those "santa isn't real" moments for him. Here comes Iron Man to give him a bionic arm and... it kinda isn't the bionic arm we all wished it could be. Not trying to be a debbie downer here, just pointing out this kid looks sad as fuck.

Stop being such a Robert Downer Jr.

I'm pretty sure he is just shy as shit. Imagine having him show up along with people pointing cameras at you.
Now Ron Perlman will need to get his own kid with a massive red hellboy biotic arm.
Nobody would mess with that kid.
Elias Toufexis should do something like this
imagine if that kid grew up to be an actor and become the next iron man
like how Peter Capaldi was a huge Dr. Who nerd back in his day

also, I'm seeing prostetics like this becoming more and more mainstream and that is amazing
prosthetics ALWAYS interest me. Losing a limb is a life ruining thing but people are able to spring back faster and faster because of robotics
I love when Marvel actors do nice stuff for children in-character. It's such a nice thing to do, meeting kids who idolize you and your character, plus it's damn good for PR.

And it has even inconspicuously landed on the Microsoft Office channel.

well he pretty much is tony stark just without the super genius.
I was a bit worried the arm would be adjusted to his 7-year old size and he'd pretty much grow out of it within a year but it looks like they actually kept it at a size that could work well into adult-hood, save for the slightly smaller hand.
I love how happy Robert Downey Jr. Looks when the kid calls him Iron-man. I love that guy.

I think he was even more happy when the kid recognized him not just as Iron Man but also Robert.
Even the cases have stark industries printed on them, that is commitment.

To be fair, that character was made for him. He fits it too well to not have been.

Black Nick Fury was designed literally off of Samuel Jackson.
How does this exactly work?, how does he command the arm?

The kid wouldn't even be able to lift it

A computer is connected to his brain that translates his nerve signals to control the arm as if it were his own.
You don't think about it but whenever you move or do anything your brain is sending electrical pulses that make your muscles expand and contract. These arms take those pulses and activates the mechanical muscles.

Damn, I thought that technology wasn't readily available yet.
This is awesome.
Similar technology is used to allow Stephen Hawking to speak.
