• Dead Rising 2 lagging all of a sudden.

Okay, so me and solid_jake were playing co-op fine. Suddenly a new patch gets released, we download and install it, go to play co-op and suddenly it's as laggy as anything, it's really irritating and if anybody knows a solution could they please post it? Thanks in advance.
The patch may have 1 or more memory leaks or other bugs. Have you tried reinstalling the patch? Also make sure you download the correct language patch (i.e US-English game should have a US-English patch, not a UK-English patch). It sounds like it couldn't cause any big problems, but when I accidentally installed the UK-English patch on my US-English installation of Oblivion shit hit the fan. Frequent crashes, low fps, the works.
Well don't bother asking for help if you're not willing to try out suggestions.
Let me give you the rundown : To reinstall a gfwl patch you would need to delete the entire game, and then reinstall it, and repatch. I would ask for a better alternative as well.

You can either try reinstalling, or assume the patch has tons of bugs and wait for a hotfix. You choose which will take longer.
Some people don't want to reinstall it and lose their progress, however you might need to reinstall the way to back-up your saves is to go to your documents/my games/ copy and paste the dead rising 2 (theres the info of your suggestions of your settings and your character) copy and paste it and you can be safe to reinstall dead rising 2 without any worries.

It will either ask when uninstalling or it will keep them. I don't think there is a problem with losing save games/files.
