Hi, for the past month or so, this has been going on and off, when ever i would go to a certain website, it would redirect me to myspace!
I dont even go on myspace, for instance (this only happens on chrome) when i tried to go to fp it goes to this link
http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-4109526466655731&output=html&h=90&slotname=7817548032&w=728&flash=10.0.45&url=http://www.facepunch.com/&dt=1275770848851&shv=r20100519&prev_slotnames=8385951913&correlator=1275770848739&frm=0&adk=1996852441&ga_vid=348118204.1275716542&ga_sid=1275769750&ga_hid=1288152575&ga_fc=1&u_tz=-240&u
what?
So i go to the main source of that link, http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net
It goes to myspace. I have scanned with malwarebytes, a full scan in safe mode, nothing found.
Oh, and now it does it for every website i go to.
Any idea?
Check your HOSTS file, may be something left over from a virus. Or try scanning with something else as well.
Checked, not the hosts file.
Is avast a good scanner?
I have this same problem and I think it's due to old malware that's so deep in my registry.
Whenever I have one of those pesky malware shizzle's, I use combofix, but sometimes it messes up my internet connection, so use with caution.

Then why use it, Malwarebytes has a free version and has served it's purpose for me.

Because it has done the job every single time, even fixed some strange bugs with MS office.

I've typed a few URLs that when I'd hit enter would also take me to that google ads thing. Using Chrome 6 Dev.
So google is redirecting you guys to their ads :v:
