• Need help with story writing

Hi guys, I got a query, for the first three months of this year I began writing and completed a 93 page screenplay of a superhero story. After finishing I edited it to second draft stage. I then began to write a sequel to this story as part of a saga. However I have had some writers block with this new story and am starting to wonder a few things. Should I get back to editing my first story and make sure that all loose ends are tied or should I work to break through this writers block and get to work on my new story?
Tie everything up! I love little details in books/movies that make sense when you see the sequels. Chances are you will be the only one to read it anyway so I wouldn't swat it too much.
Revisit the first script. Cannot emphasize enough. There's nothing worse than a sequel that doesn't answer loose ends. Plus it's a great way to fact check for any inconsistencies and continuity errors. Infact, you're rushing too fast with writing the sequel already. Your script should go through at least 2 more drafts with proofreading from others before actually getting it produced. If you've really got some good ideas for the sequel, write a detailed outline/synopsis instead of writing a half baked script that lacks any closure
