On behalf of the Project Comet team, I’m thrilled to let you know that Project Comet has become Adobe Experience Design CC (Preview), or Adobe XD as we refer to it. We’re making our first preview release for Mac OS available today, with a Windows version coming later this year. Everyone can use Adobe XD for free during the preview period – you can download it from Adobe.com or through the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Did they seriously call it Adobe XD?
Is this just for mockups of web/app design or does it allow you to export to IDEs like Android Studio?
Woah, they announced it already a week ago.

Windows XP isn't exactly a better name by comparison.
The news for this has been about for months now, good that its out now though. It looks great.

Don't quote me on this but it's focus I believe is on design and prototyping, mainly to show something interactive to clients before working on a full app and digging around in code.
This is awesome, a fast way to mockup interactive designs is a great tool for graphic designers.
Not coming to Windows til late this year.

Fuck's sake, you've ruined that name for me now :(
xp is more associated with experience, whereas xd is more accosiated with well, XD.
couldn't they have gone with ExD or something
Does it follow the subscription model?
