I really don't know what to say about this. Thoughts?

I'm heavily skeptical about this.
I'm heavily skeptical about this.
It's 100% fake
The CGI. It hurts.
It's aerodynamically impossible to create a reliable hoverboard platform, let alone one which can support the weight of a full-grown person, or even a child.
If this somehow did manage to exist, do you honestly think the US Military wouldn't of been all over this shit by now?
Maybe this is an ad for, I don't know, another Back to the Future movie?

I hope not. A new movie would probably be terrible.

"Connected to the MagForce Charger... Then it creates a magnetic field"
Also, on their website they mention it's made out of "paramagnetic titanium" so even if it did exist, it would be hella expensive.
i love how its iphone controled
seems like a viral marketing ploy to sell their fitness tracker/companion app
I'm such an idiot for thinking that this was real
Maybe they already are. :tinfoil:
BF2143 - Now with two man hoverboards that can be used for drivebys.
Pls, DICE.
It sucks this is fake, around 1:58 was the killer for me. Guy in the background.
Pretty well made video in terms of directing and editing.
Relatively small Hovercrafts exist
Not like this. Hover tech mostly consists of the fans and inflated skirt stuff, this is flat out 'super magic technology' hover.
For a load of the clips it's obvious from the kinematics that they have harnesses and the cables are edited out, their torsos are fairly rigid while their limbs move around freely.
For the clip where it was just rolling along at skateboard level (3:07) the area under the board looks really odd (where the wheels were edited out).
if it was real, that thing would be containing room temperature super conductors as well as packing a huge ass battery. the titanium is an odd choice to use since well...you have a metal board with giant magnets on the bottom...
[editline]4th March 2014[/editline]
the website states this only works on concrete and thick asphalt so there might be something to it

I really don't see why you keep saying it's impossible. There is no law of physics that prevents hoverboards. Obviously this one is fake but in the future it doesn't seem like much of a stretch.
um guys of course this is real
think about it
we live in 2014, how can we NOT have hoverboards already? it would just make no sense for them to not exist
lmao you can see people's shirts being lifted up by the wire harneses under them.

bernoulli's fourth law states: thou shalt not build a hoverboard
Are you guys really questioning the legitimacy of this video?
Come on.
ya that thing is floating around like its on a string, this is a really good marketing ploy though for their fitness tracking app
I'm going to die

gauss's law trumphs bernoulli saying you need a hell of a magnetic field to get this
gauss's law trumphs bernoulli saying you need a hell of a magnetic field to get this
a field strong enough to make gauss start rotating in his grave like a lathe
a field strong enough to make gauss start rotating in his grave like a lathe
that's the plan
this is secretly a ploy by the fitness and firearm industry to get people to work out and buy protein shakes, while also acting as barrel lathes for creating firearms
The CGI. It hurts.
The CGI is actually not as bad as I thought it'd be.
As cool as it is to see Cristopher Lloyd being back in something BTTF related, it's kinda lame, and defenitely not news worthy, except if it's actually real, which is not sadly.
gauss's law trumphs bernoulli saying you need a hell of a magnetic field to get this
There's no such thing as Bernoulli's fourth law*
The biggest question from me is though, why waste all that money on a joke? I mean, I don't think hiring actors, building a "prototype", recording in a studio (for cgi), editing and the website were all for free.
Are they expecting to make back the money from youtube ads???
