I've recently been trying to install iAtkos v.7, and I don't have a DVD drive.
I have a 4gb flash drive, but everytime I get it to boot, it says "H00EEF3F0 HFS+ error"
Preferably a way that doesn't involve already having a mac, seeing as I don't.
hfs+ is OSX's file system. what's the flash drive formatted to?

I honestly don't know.
Windows doesn't say what its formatted too, but hfs explorer reads it.
Then it might be formatted to HFS+.

is that a bad thing?
I used ddmac to get it on the usb drive.

No, the drive could just have a damaged fs or bad sectors or something.

Well, I found a guide, but whenever i try to change the partition id to AF i can't.
Stop using OS X distros, they're a bitch to update, use EFIs like Empire EFI, but on a related note, could you show me this guide? I've been trying to install Mac OS on my netbook.
I would use an EFI, but
1. I don't know how.
2. I don't have an original OSX disk
3. I don't have a usb drive bigger than 4gb
4. I don't have any money for dvds.

Would it be possible to use a hard drive to install OSX using an efi?
